What games did you play as a kid?

My favourite was kerbie. I sucked at hide and seek though.

"Kerbie?"

Throwing a ball across the street so it bounces back off the kerb. You get points each time it bounces back and get another throw. If playing with a mate, when you miss it’s their turn. Ball was usually a football rather than a tennis ball

There and to the left a bit

Used to play Spot (which sounds similar to kerbie except the ball was kicked and could be played against a wall as well as a kerb) for ages during break at school

Trying to do tipple-over-tails or cartwheels, hanging upside down on bars and railings to make the blood rush to your head, seeing who could stay stood up and walk straight after spinning around and around or finding a dandelion and asking what time it was, damn it let’s be big kids

Acky ak, preferably involving at least two gardens on a dusky summer evening or on the local common ground.

Like hide and seek with a 'home' post. The seeker looks for the hiders, the hiders try and get back home without being found. We used to play it over acres of sand dunes and scrub.

Loved Kerbie and was great at skipping but my favourite was bouncing two or three tennis balls off a wall singing rhymes. Anyone remember any of them. I remember
