Its a bit random I know but I have a fair few bigish scars and lots of moles. Do they put people off.
I have had some bad experiences with these which a long time ago effected me badly but I am over it and confidant with how my body is now. Im just being curious.

Not me. Wanting something different to nature, is a bit like wanting the tide to go out, when it's coming in. I'm not perfect, so don't expect other people to be - and I accept someone for who they are, which is their personality as well as their physical selves. I think most people here are like this but can't speak for them.
I'd suggest mentioning it prior to selecting who to meet, so that there are no surprises etc. |

"Nah I’ve got skin cancer... scars and moles are part and parcel of my life. They throw in a bit of character. "
Thats where I got most of my scars too |

I am covered in scars head to toe mate. Got some very bad ones on my legs and above my groin.
The only time they have been commented on is after sex during the spooning. I quite like a lady tracing them with her finger to be honest.
Don’t worry about them mate they are part of you. |

I have a lot of moles and one big scar running really right down my middle. I’m self conscious about a lot of stuff but not my scar. It saved my life and it’s very neat and tidy. Other people’s scars don’t bother me either and I like the OP’s moles, they’re quite cute |

It's just skin - many people have marks on their body to a greater or lesser degree, be they freckles, moles, scars, stretch marks etc. None of us are so-called perfect. And though I obviously can't speak for everyone I wouldn't be put off at all by relatively minor details like that if I found someone attractive in the first place |

OP moles are normal, most of us have them.
Your scars wouldn't put many people off either. Again, most of us have some scars and the stories to tell about how we got them.
I have a medical condition called hidradenitis suppurativa which has left me with some quite severe scarring in my armpits, under my boobs and the worst scarring is in my groin. I used to be very self conscious about it and it made me wary of getting naked. Since I joined fab I am a lot more confident and don't worry about my scars anymore.
I have been lucky, nobody on fab or at clubs has ever made any unkind comments about my scars. A few people have asked him I got them but never in a nasty way. I have found swingers are far more accepting than the general populace. |

I've have some new scars from a burst appendix operation. I'm really self conscious so reading this thread has made me feel lots better. I've got lots of old scars, acne, shingle scars and moles and I've always been anxious about people seeing them. But I guess people notice them but don't necessarily care? |

I have one of those I've alway's wondered if it can be removed actually. |

I have quite a few moles and I can be quite self conscious about them. In the past I have had some removed and probably will again.
Mrs has had breast cancer and has an implant. She wears a temporary tattoo to cover some of the scar and yes she is conscious of it.
It doesn't stop her taking her clothes off on the beach, in the sauna, in a club, or walking naked around Cap d'Agde though. |

Almost certainly yes.
I've had them removed by both methods.
Sometimes they will freeze them with a dry ice gun and they drop off in a few days. Larger ones can be cut off with a local anaesthetic. |

Oh right thanks for that, did you go to your doctor's to have that done as I thought they probably wouldn’t do it as it's not causing any problems? |

It is quite a few years ago when I last had it done in the UK so things may have changed. Then I just made an appointment to see the doctor who put me on his list for a special (I think monthly) clinic he held specifically for it.
I've had it done twice in Germany and you just get a referral note from the GP then make your own appointment with the skin specialist who does the job there and then. |

Personally it wouldn't bother me. Scars across my abdomen from 2 c sections.
But,and I'll get my tin hat on for the responses, is it really shallow to say "No, not for me?" Obviously cheeky or rude responses like the OP is referring to is not on but if scars and moles aren't for some are they really shallow?
Isn't this just another personal preference? Plenty people state on their profiles that they don't want someone over a certain size, below a certain height, bigger boobs, smaller boobs etc. They're entitled to sat what they like or don’t like surely? |

Ive been told by my doctor that they stopped just taking moles off unless there is a problem with them or they rub on clothing simple because too many people were going in and getting moles taken off just because they didnt like them.
I know some bigger moles grow hairs which dont always look the nicest but they are the ones that you shouldnt get any problems. I dont like the hairs so I pull them out, the hairs not the moles |

I do totally get that and yes I wont judge people for not liking them its there own personal preference but for someone to say outright to you that your moles are disgusting and start taking the piss out of them can actually hurt and make you feel low about yourself |

I have hairy moles on my face and the old lady curse of them growing two inches long overnight. Those bastard things twang when I pluck them.
I also have eczema from my hairline down over my face to the middle of my back.
We have a choice, we can let how we look effect what and how we do stuff...or not. |

The only moles I'd find really off putting would be those big ones with long hairs coming out of them. I've got a few small moles on my arms and legs, and some big surgery scars just above my groin. |

I've an 18" scar down the lateral side of my left leg 7" scar down my knee both gifts from a van cutting a corner and taking me off my motor bike. In my experience most women don't mind scars. I 've had one woman get repulsed when I told her most women are like ohhh show me |
