Some one asked me to register on Personal safety directory website before a meet.

I had a look on the site. It looks official but page lay out is bit dodgy and also ask for bank card details.

Does anyone know about this? Is it a scam or something genuine..

Thank you for your replies.

Xx

Why do they need bank account details?

I've never heard of it. I'd be wary of anyone asking me to join anything asking for my card details!

I think it's a scam OP. Don't give your details to them. If it's on fab, report to admin.

Sounds like they are trying some kind of scam. These people are so deviant, I wouldn't register my bank details anywhere like that.

Of course it's a scam, anyone that asks you to use a third party site that requires cc details is a scammer. If they were that worried about personal safety (which is understandable) would inform a friend where they're going / what they're doing. Avoid!

OP, this is fabs safety advice from the faq section.

Do you have any tips for safe meeting?

Don't forget that the only person responsible for your safety is you, so don't put yourself in a situation where a stranger can let you down. These are some tips to help:

* Don't give strangers your home phone number, your usual mobile number or your address or let them know where you work. Buy a spare PAYG SIM for your mobile and use it for initial contacts.

* Don't rely on strangers for transport, so don't agree to go somewhere in a car with someone you don't know.

* Don't turn up to strange addresses without having met the people you're expecting, first, beforehand.

* Always meet first somewhere safe and public (a cafe) first.

* Always tell someone you trust who you're going to meet, and where.

* Don't arrange meets without having spoken to the people you're expecting to meet first on phone OR on seen on cam.

* Don't invite strangers into your home.

* Don't put yourself in a situation where if someone doesn't turn up, you'll be upset. So don't travel 100s of miles and book into a hotel in the expectation of meeting someone unless you've met them beforehand.

Attending an organised social or a swinging club meet is a good place to start.

Totally. Legit sites are rarely littered with so many grammatical errors.

There and to the left a bit

A quick check reveals that the site is registered in the US but most likely originates in the Philippines - make of that what you will

Central

Scam, scam, scam

Report anyone who requires any step before meeting that involves payment. That site looks like it's a US centric site anyway and it means absolutely nothing for personal safety in the UK.
