So this may seem an odd topic. If say your cat was out when you had left for work in the past snow conditions and you hadn't been able to get them in before leaving , would you mind if a neighbour had spotted it and taken it in till you got back.

I wouldn't mind at all, I'd be grateful to think that I had such a kind neighbour to think to look after my pet for me!

Quite the opposite. I have a cat flap anyway and often find other moggies in my house. I’m just glad they can get in and get warm.

Not as long as they let me know - once spent 5 hours frantically searching for a "lost cat" in these circumstances - only to discover it had been asleep in front of the neighbour's living room fire all afternoon!
