The snow has drove people nuts here. I though I'd seen it all the other day. People fighting over bread. There's now videos going around of people breaking into Lidl here. Robbing food and drink. Setting fires to buildings.

I would have said for the food but they have pulled the safe and everything out of it. Dirty little scumbags. They set it on fire as well. Other shops being broken into as well. |

Have they never seen snow before? 
What else is going on under the surface that is causing this? Is it the stuff about making benches unusable for street sleepers and other related matters?

Honestly it's crazy. Stupid idiots doing stupid things. Don't know what the issues are. Shops were closed yesterday and today due to all the snow so probably something to do with that. |

I think in all likelihood they were opportunists who used the fact that the emergency services are all busy elsewhere to do what they would normally do anyway... just on a much larger scale. Such is the nature of the petty criminal. Shameful behaviour yes... but given the location, not terribly surprising either. |

There's no cure for stupidity I guess.
Warnings all over the news, and instead of stocking up for 2-3 days people are fighting over food.
And I'm just going to chill and nom on my ben & jerries  |
