The UK's supply of gas, which was in danger of running out, as the warning issued yesterday stated, has now had increased supplies secured, so you may rest your mind, should you have been concerned what the future may have held.
Storage facility capacity was drastically cut in the past year or so, making the country potentially more vulnerable to supply problems.
Should AI ever increase its capabilities and hold us to ransom, turning off gas supplies could soon scupper us in weather like the present.

I thought there were emergency supply agreements with larger business users whereby they would switch their gas supply over to prioritise domestic customers.
Pretty sure I worked on a contract for it in a call centre once |

hehe so could smart meters apparently, remote cut-off and what's the betting they ain't ever going to be that well secured to prevent random hacks
On the gas supply - yeah power generation plants then businesses then consumers. So cut back to the power stations and when the power goes out the domestic gas boilers shut down, problem solved no? |

You're right - their plans include limiting supply to business large users. They've had problems this year with some of their international supply pipes that have reduced supplies for the UK. |
