"Snowing here.
As blanche said oh bugger I can't get out the drive
We managed about half a mile earlier. Turned round and went home! "
My dad's village is totally cut off now, luckily he's food and water and heating to last a week |

"Nothing here. But forecast more tonight which is shit. I slipped and fractured my elbow yesterday morning "
Bet that hurt. People have been banging on about it only being a bit of snow, but it's icy and slippery. Hope you mend quickly. |

Thankyou
Didn't hurt at first so thought I'd escaped any major damage, little did I know that was all to come an hour later. Yeah, it hurts a lot! ![](/icons/s/biggrin.gif) |

Occasional snow flurries overnight, very windy too so the snow has blown around. Icy. Work has decided to stay closed as the local police force has asked people to stay home if possible. |

Snowing here right now quite hard. Ol'man gone to see elderly neighbour and walk up to Tesco for us all. Nice hot soup on the go and a lovely roast pork in oven for later.
Filled up the fat balls and water and topped up the seed for the birdies and the solitary rat that nips in for bread.

"Started again while we were in Westfield, so we cut our shopping trip short (hooray). I did get a pair of evening shoes before we bolted though. "
It's a miracle! You've treated yourself to something. We need a weather event every quarter just for this.

It's due to warm up overnight.
I quite liked the snow, but people driving like morons did irk me a bit. That, and my cold water inlet is frozen, so I had to take some drums of water from work and have a wash using a bucket and a plastic jug in the bath this morning..... ![](/icons/s/mrgreen.gif) |

You're proper rustic, aren't you?
I hope it's alright for my annual trip to Lyme at the end of the week.

My pipes froze as well but decided to defrost within the witching hours of 11pm & 3am and flooded me out!
Rudely awakened by a bunch of the fire brigade at 3.30am almost tearing the door down in order to get access
If that is your fantasy, believe me it doesn't fulfil the reality lol
So I am tired, dealing and trying to dry out soaked through carpets and pissed off due to all the other building shit I have had to deal with in the last 7 months ![](/icons/s/twisted.gif) |

I recently got turned down after a first date by someone I'd been talking to for ages because apparently I'm "totally different in the flesh" and she thought I'd be more "rugged/outdoorsy"....
I mentioned this to a girl I used to date (who I'm still mates with) and she said that I was practically feral and wasn't sure how much more outdoorsy you could get...... |

If mine burst, it'll be beneath the prefab and will, at worst wet the ground so I can afford not to be too concerned. |

Judging by the iPhone weather app the snow has finished for us. Which I’m quite glad about as I am at work tomorrow morning and it means the bus should still be ok, I didn’t fancy walking.

I'm sorry to hear that. I know how awful it is when your pipes burst (mine did 20 odd years ago, flooded the back stairs and froze. It took months to fix it all).
I hope things get sorted quickly for you and that nothing precious was lost.

I agree with your female mate. The recent date needs to spend some time with you being outdoorsy. She'll soon see how rugged you are. I can't even type the word rugged without thinking of your arms and legs.

The recent date said she doesn't want to see me again. As a result, I've now stopped having a shave before I go on dates. ![](/icons/s/mrgreen.gif) |
