Do you think you could go on the run for 30 days before the authorities found you?

What would your plan be?

I've never seen the program, but I imagine that simply hiding is out of the question?

Is give it a whirl. I reckon if I could get someone to hide me in their suitcase I'd be home free!

O o O oo

I reckon we could, I think most people get caught out while trying to contact someone or using social media...we could spend the time without that

I think I could - have lots of friends up and down country and nobody know passwords. A mixture of football and swinging friends

They have to make their way to an ‘extraction point’ so just hiding isn’t an option

The idiots get caught if they try to play games with the hunters

Think it would be easier if not having a film crew following you around, bit of a give away. But then without them no tv show

My daughter wants us to apply for it. It’d be a good laugh!! Although I applied for the island and was turned down for being ex forces. I think they’re worried you go all ‘Lord of the flies’ and start taking out the weaker ones.

If I was on Hunted I’d just pack a tent and get lost in the Lake District.

The rules are on the show you can't sleep in same place for more than 2 nights and can't draw out more than 250 pounds

I'm always unsure with that show if people are genuinely daft or if it's in the show rules that they have to take stupid risks to make the hunters look more adept at catching them...either way it annoys me

I'd like to try it but the show has deteriorated Imo, so that the hunters can do almost anything.

It's about not using technology to give yourself away and staying in very quiet place, rather than being caught on CCTV everywhere you go - getting help from people who know you - that don't have a traceable link to you on record, is also a great idea.

I liked the son with his father who succeeded this year.

Good god I even hate being chased up the stairs!

Great series though me and my daughter were on tender hooks at the end.

We loved it when they both made it. Some are just asking to be caught though the minute they use a phone.

Well for me

Take all the money out of bank at first. Then no need to use atm machines

Use a mixture of hitch hiking, and camping. Use the canal network. Avoid cars, and coaches. Use a new SIM card everytime you want to make a call.

Also make sure your contacts have a spare SIM card and a burner phone. Use Skype and vpn to mask wear you are.

Never login to emails or Facebook. If you need safe houses pre-arrange before hand. Use network to forward coded messages.

I would love to do it

The rules probably say you have to make contact with known persons to give them a chance.

If you can't live without a phone then don't bother.Camping and hitch hiking and no contact with anyone you know and you have a good chance.

Easy, I've done escape and evasion training with the military I've not watched much of the programme but the ones I have seen they always seem to give themselves away by using their phones etc.

I had tears when they both met up and made it - fantastic TV. I'd hoped that the retired female teacher, who got a coach down to London, wearing a wig, would have stayed in the show longer.

Us forum users have posted, from series 1 upon it.

What I don't get is why the new entrants each series make the same mistakes - like phoning home on the first day and being tracked etc.

I know I don't get it either,I was sat on my settee shouting at the tv with my daughter telling me to quieten down. Don't they watch the previous series to see the mistakes other people have made.

I don't think more than four people have ever made it through to the end in all the series up to now.

Would be easy!

I'd just show up at a mate's house, tell them the crack and offer to split the prize money if they can give me a lift to the extraction point!

They just pick daft people to go on here, people who need a wife/husband/partner at all times.

If you are on the run,and yours/familys phones might be monitored, don't call mummy after 25 minutes.

I've been thinking the same, that they pick people who are most likely to need to stay in touch with family - even though your team mate can be your support, if not doing it alone. They probably look at their use of social media beforehand, to pick out the most needy.

Picking the retired cop this series who had a wife about to give birth was along the same lines.

I also wondered if there's a demand in the contract for them to have to provide a lot more personal data upon their contacts in advance.

Some key rules - expect your home to be under observation, so have cars to be used not parked in this street.

Don't use technology for calls or messaging.

Use phone numbers widely before the show, so that calling patterns from home don't give it away.

Have disguises

30 days in a samsonite suitcase I’m not sure you would have sufficient air supply or be in any state to claim the prize

I suspect you would have a mobility issue with stiff bones when it comes to getting to the extraction point

I often get the feeling that there's a bit of a setup going on.

The public may miss people anonymously in public but not when there's a film crew around.

In recent series the hunters seem to have gotten extra powers too.

It would be so easy to shove a wifi enabled SD card into the camera crew's video camera and leave some coding on it so the thing become a transponder, every time they are within a suitable wifi hot spot...aka cheating.
