Just a pleasant snow scene here but it’s fecking cold "
I am fine thanks. Lovely and toasty. Fridge full of food and a microwave to warm it all up. |

Heard on radio it's closed to high sided vehicles because of the strong winds. Go careful op. |

Very cold with just a few powdery bits of snow floating about here on the south coast.
Those of you who are getting/got snow take care, stay warm and safe. |

"Snowed in here in Lincolnshire. Winds, snow it's horrid "
Yep terrible snow drifts. Temperature is warmest now it’s been in about 4 days, it’s -2. Went out earlier, Sir took me in his truck. Some roads are terrible with wind drifting snow off fields. Few cars in ditches, main roads (A17) closed. And people still drive too fast for the conditions and still drive too close. My chiropractor was telling me she’d got stuck yesterday for four and half hours with her kids on the A1 - 16 vehicles including 5 lorries which started with a small knock between one car and one lorry. Back home now in front of fire. |

"Boilers gone today, cant get through to boiler people due to high volume of calls just got a little space heater keeping one room warm atm"
Is your boiler a condenser? If it is your pipe outside will be frozen....under the boiler is a pipe that goes outside, take that off, they'll be loads of water, put a bucket under and start your boiler up, it should start and once your pipe defrosts put it back on |

Put it this way. I went to work this morning. I'm glad they sent us home at midday because if I left at normal time, even the main roads would have been hazardous. |

First proper snow down south in about 5 years. So not that often. |

Yes same here. Then it got to -14 worst. I base the seriousness on road use and when there’s been daily and nightly closures on several major roads around us, resulting in people being stuck for 6 or so hours, it’s bad enough for me to stay home. |

Yeah, but there's a strong wind, and nearby a guy has a weather station in his garden and it measured -19C (yes, minus 19!)... and that is a little chilly in any language! |

believe it or not, there is snow in varying degrees every single year....and every single year we enjoy reacting as if it's never happened before...wait till summer!! more than 3 days of sunshine and we have to pretend we're all going to die of thirst and stop using any water! it's just an odd national quirk...it's beautiful where i am, long may it continue! |

Its an upstairs boiler and i discovered they put the pipe straight into the guttering so as soon as the gutters fill up and freeze its fucked ive had to climb up to the roof and hack away at the ice in the gutter before i could even start defrosting the condensation pipe, fixed it now though |

It’s not too bad, busses still working but some schools shut tomorrow so having ads’ kids a day early which I don’t mind, it means I don’t have to go out in it at pick up time!
Bloody froze today though, I got the bus to my friends and was an ice cube when I arrived!

3rd snow day in a row tomorrow.
Still under a good 10 inches of snow here in north Essex and wind causing drifts everywhere too. Another day staying in the warm planned for me I think.

Just had to go out to do a good deed, and its now officially "no go" for ordinary cars around here, 5 roads out of the village and 3 are closed already, the other two may end up closed sometime tonight! |

It's not that common at all in these amounts. Local roads are blocked, cars stuck, emergency services can't cope with all the calls for help.
People think they should try and get to work but then get stuck and make the situation worse. |

Thankfully, none here since Monday nights snow. It’s a bit blustery, but looks like we are in a clear-ish zone between the 2 weather fronts with possibly a bit of snow overnight & a bit more Saturday
I’m just about to head out for a night of debauchery at Townhouse - let’s hope I don’t get snowed in!! x |

Worcester currently it’s 8.15pm...about 2-3” and still snowing. Local news 6pm bulletin came from Worcester south junction over M5... down to two lanes. Apparently the wind chill factor was -13C! Worse to come overnight....? |

Whilst I'm sure it's bad in some places the news media is whipping up their usual hysterical frenzy. On the evening news I saw a report, live from Exeter, where the bare faced liar said they had had several inches of snow. Not a couple, or even a few, but several! All the time you could see people behind her in what was barely two inches of snow.... |

Disconnect it from the boiler and put a bucket under it |

Day 3 of snow day no work
Country on status red heavy snow since Wednesday and storm Emma just meeting the east storm to clash together. Republic of Ireland got hit very bad and is getting worse. Never seen a nationwide red status and it’s starting to filter through to extreme status red by morning. |
