Hi all,
My office environment tends to be fairly quiet apart from the sound of keyboards, phone and a bit of chat here and there.
However, I have colleagues who think nothing of eating nuts, apples, crunchy food, mouth noises, etc without so much as an "EXCUSE ME"...it's bloody awful to hear and so distracting.
I know this is the norm these days, but anyone else suffer this problem or is it just me having over senstitive hearing!? |

Ah office problems. I'm sooo glad I'm out of it. My main annoyance was slurping out of those sports cap water bottles by people who claimed that drinking two litres of water a day this way made them superior human being, get a flaming cup and show some manners! |

Eating at your desk is very unhygienic . They should restrict their eating to break times.
If you were to test their keyboard it would be so full of bacteria. |

I remember office work. Getting that first cup of coffee and lighting up a cigarette. First chore emptying the ashtray on the desk. Listening to the morning noise of everyone hacking and coughing away, amidst a blue cloud of cigarette smoke. Finally getting down to doing 5 hours work in 2 hours as lunchtime was down the pub for a snack and a couple of pints. Then a relaxing afternoon leisurely smoking, exchanging gossip, and more tea breaks, before scarpering home at 4.30. |
