I work in a school - and all my schools are closed tomorrow!

Anyone else get a snow day off work?

I’m hoping it lasts longer than a day

Very surprised! The snow isn’t even that bad yet. Oh well! Celebration time

Schools are using it to save on hearing cost during winter months. Gives staff time to catch up on marking too. It won't be long before they have it set at just freezing to close schools for HS purposes. 30 yrs ago we walked through snow to get to school and back after dark....Just saying

I doubt saving a few quid on heating is a good enough incentive for schools to close for a day or 2 every few years.
