I'm amazed lack of sleep and too much rum and brain still works
I always remember calamine lotion used to feel so good until it went dry not sure if have a modern equivalent or some kind of cooling gel that would help |

Not quite.. Its chicken pox MK2
So when you catch a virus, it doesn't actually ever leave you, in the case of chicken pox your body dormants it in the end of your nerve endings never to be seen again until your a little bit weak and it gets reawakened but obviously not as chicken pox as you've already defeated that!.
Its actually perfectly possible to get chicken pox as an adult if you've never caught it as a child |

I had a really nasty case of that in late 2015, all down the left side of my scalp and to ear. It was so debilitating, so sore, and I was so nauseous - I still have nerve pain to this day (postherpetic neuralgia). I was told I was lucky not to lose hearing, so I count my blessings.
I feel for you. |

Chicken pox as an adult can be quite nasty hence why parents have chicken pox party's for children where it seems to be relatively benign |

"Fucking killing me. But I do wish people would realise it not a sexual thing.
"
Why would anyone think it was sexually related? Where have you got it?
Doctor should give you anti viral's to speed up recovery and you can use lanacaine or similar topically to relieve any pain.
Hope you feel better soon.
My mum has just got over having it on her face and in her eye. |

Just remember that the varicella zoster virus can be transmitted, during the blister phase of shingles, to individuals that have not had chicken pox or received VZ vaccination (VARIVAX and VARILRIX).
Particularly important to avoid contact with anyone that is immunocompromised, has cancer, is being treated with chemotherapy, radiotherapy, steroids etc. |

I had shingles in October on one side of my face. Not long before I had a burst appendix. Got a few little scars but healing well.
As chicken pox/shingles are part of the herpes virus family and the same treatment is used some people think its like having warts or something.
