Stuff going missing, spooky or not ?
Jump to: Newest in thread
Look I am a non believer in ghosts, ghouls and paranormal nonsense.
In fact I think it's utter bollox.
However very occasionally things happen that you just can't explain.
We have all had the scenario where you are looking for something and you can't find it,then you do it was in plain sight all along.
For example I was doing a job last week doing some boxing in.
Now I hadn't moved or anything I had marked something with my pencil, a minute or so later I went to grab the pencil and it wasn't there.
I looked everywhere moved all my tools stood up must have been looking for a good two minutes.
Has to go to my van to get another.
I knelt down and when I turned back there was the pencil right where I had put it first time.
It is a bright yellow one on a grey floor so stand's out.
Wtf??
There is no way I missed it,I moved everything, checked all over.
But it was definitely not there, two seconds later it was.
Spooky or did I just have a brain fart? |

I'd go for brain fart.
However years ago Mr N lost his wedding ring, we searched high and low but no sign. Forward two or three years and he was washing his car, looked down and there was his wedding ring .
Another time he lost his glasses, again had the house upside down. Several months later he went into the garage to sort out some stuff. Found a load of shopping bags and inside a bag rolled up in another bag were his glasses.

I couldn't find my Nans wedding and engagement rings which she left to me in her will. Went to the shop where they sell all the tarot cards and the owner is psychic, I asked her where they were and she told me that my daughter had found them and put them inside her China piggy bank and also told me my Nan said to look after them!
Went home and they were exactly where she said they'd be! |

Had a spare work key in my bedroom cupboard same place for months, then it just vanished force of habit made me still look for it there, it was only after I accepted in my own mind it had gone after a period of time It reappeared again there.. |

My passport.
Turned my flat upside down.
Friend came round and turned it back.
Nowhere to be found.
Had to get a new passport.
Went on holiday.
Came home and put my extra cash and passport in my safe place.
Opened the drawer and there it was.
My ghosts clearly think they’re funny! |

Brain fart
The brain produces a constant optical illusion a construct of both sense derived data AND gaps filled by illusions
What is genuinely more plausible
Your brain farted
Or dead brains are not really dead and have the ability to interact and move matter yet are none detectable by any human means ?
Your brain farted
The brain is an amazing optical simulator yet the vast array of optical illusions illustrate its fallibility
I could give a
Thousand examples where brain is fooled into NOT seeing the obvious
One is the infamous, how many triangles
In which a picture is shown for 10 seconds with lots of triangle shaped objects , yet less than 5 percent of people see the words that are written telling them how many triangles are there
Ghosts are non sense no one has ever experienced a human who has died many have experienced something that has convinced them they have |
