I can do one better!
Back in the late 70's, I was working at a hotel very near to Heathrow.
I'd spent an evening out in London at the end of which, I caught one of the last Tubes back to H'row Central.
I awoke to find a Tube employee telling me the train was at the end of the line....in Cockfosters!
I'd only fallen asleep en-route to Heathrow and then remained asleep as it returned all the way BACK thru London to the opposite end of the Line!!
It was now close to 1am. Night buses then were not to the frequency they are now.
It took me 6 hours to get back to Heathrow! I was also late for work! |

So wot is arfter 999.99 if its not 000.00  "
Depends on the display. Some stay at 999.99, but the price keeps going up or it continues on to 1,000 and beyond. Most digital pumps that are able to dispense that much in one go will count past 999, also most don't show the price, just the volume. |
