It's because half-caste can be seen as half a person. I've had this discussion many times and now use mixed race even though I am half caste... go figure |

It's because half-caste can be seen as half a person. I've had this discussion many times and now use mixed race even though I am half caste... go figure "
Well yeah I'm half of two people, as it says not pure and I'm not, im not pure white and I'm not pure black I'm best of both worlds.
The mixed race thing didn't bother me till one time I was having a discussion with my mum and she said "well me and your dad are from the same race the human one so how are you mixed race" and I was oh yeah never thought about it like so I don't like being called that myself.
I was only talking about this last week with another women who is also half cast and calls herself so lol all the people I know also use that term it was what we grew up with and never took offence by it. Put when people try to tell me what I should call myself is laughable. |

She is not accepting you because she is not attracted to you. Your personal identity may well be black but she is attracted to a certain type of man, not their personal identity. |

She is not accepting you because she is not attracted to you. Your personal identity may well be black but she is attracted to a certain type of man, not their personal identity."
I 100% agree with this statement. Just pointing out when people are forced to accept someone’s identity due to risk of being accused of racism or transphobia we are heading into dangerous territory |
