"Can anyone please tell me how you would know if you’ve been hacked ? "
If you're talking about IT hacking, then you need to be more specific. Do you mean a specific website, your wireless network, your phone/tablet/PC etc...
What makes you think that you've been "Hacked"?

"Sorry being more specific I mean my account on fab . Thanks cal "
Yes, as others have said... change password and don't allow your browser to "remember your password"
Generally I don't think of someone knowing your password as "being hacked". Most people use simple passwords and the same password for everything. Passwords are often children's/partners/pets names and updating passwords usually involves changing the number on the end from 1 to 2 to 3... not really hacking.

It's still illegal to access someone's account without their permission whether you guess the password or use use a keylogger to record the password or use other "hacking" measures... So it is really hacking |

Yes it's illegal, but hacking is a skill... it is the IT equivalent to " Breaking and Entering" where as using an easily guessed password is equivalent to walking in through an unlocked door. Still wrong, but not hacking.
