As we have a thread running for all those cat lovers. Let's have one for the dog lovers!
We personally prefer dogs to cats. Cats only love you when they want it, whereas dogs really seem to show their affection for what you do for them.
Who agrees with us? |

Well your point is dumbass. Depends on the cat, depends on the dog.
Or you think all dogs are the same and all cats are the same?

Since they are 2 different species I don't think its a stretch to assume they are overall different to one another.
Sure you might get the odd one which is different to the rest. But on a whole, I would say dogs have a certain set personality traits and cats have another
And the quote you did on your reply wasn't mine, so I'm not sure whos point is 'dumbass' |

Shock horror! Cats and dogs are different animals with different behaviour and different advantages and disadvantages.
Who'd have thunk it?
One will fetch a ball, the other will look at you as if you're dumb.
One can be let out unsupervised, the other can't.
You have to clean up the shit of one, but not the other.
One will protect you, the other won't.
One can give you a nasty scratch, the other is the third biggest animal killer of humans.
One responds to instructions, the other generally doesn't.
The only certainty is that people who say 'dogs are best' or 'cats are best' are pretty clueless. |

I prefer cats to dogs personally, but I wouldn't say one is better than the other.
Cats don't maul people to death though.
Although I did nearly die of fright when my cat jumped off the wardrobe onto my back, when I was just dropping off after watching a horror film. XXX XXX |

I love both cats and dogs. They each have their own merit.
I've never had a dog because I don't have the time for one.
I do have cats as I feel a home isn't a home without pets. |

We've just had to say goodbye to our beautiful boy last week.
He was with from 9 week's old and was 11 years when we said goodbye.
There's truly an empty space in my heart with out him I miss him dreadfully.
So right about man's best friend.

Tend to think, in most cases, the animals are a reflection of their keepers.
I get joy from both, in different ways.
However, I love to walk and gel better with the dog.
Relaxing with the puss is also fun. |

"Dogs are my favourite animal, loving, protecting, loyal.
Where as cats are just fecking useless
All my cats are loving, protective and loyal...dogs are just grovelly bum-lickers! "
There's a video on YouTube of a dog that pulls a young child of a bike while he's playing on his drive. The child's cat comes tearing up an fronts the dog that is trying to drag the child off and sees the dog away.
I have a cat but I'd like a Tamaskan or an Alaskan Noble. |

"Have a pitbull and american bulldog mix and like I tell him everyday we are in a domestic partnership as opposed to a man and his pet what it feels like anyway
We both love our cat too but we wouldn't have her in the bed with us. That would be just weird "

I have four dogs and a cat.
I’ve had three cats with just one dog.
I can categorically say the cats were only in it for themselves. |

Dog owner?
I hate to say this, and you can’t smell it yourselves as you genuinely go nose-blind with it, but your house stinks of dog!
Trust me on this!
If you’ve ever been a smoker and stopped you’ll know what I mean. Smokers houses smell of smoke, but the smokers can’t smell it. Likewise, dog owners houses smell of dog!
And if I ever thought I’d get a meet again on Fab I know I’ve just blown it forever with so many dog lovers on here! Some would call it Fabicide! |

a quandary, could you change my mind? |
I've never had a cat come and live with me, but I've had dogs and I really enjoy the company, he's kept me warm when cold, he just seems to think he's a puppy and wants to sit on my lap 'he's a large breed and rather heavy' so in that instance perhaps a cat would be a good idea. |

Dogs are okay, I love other people's but couldn't have one of my own it would do my head in.
Prefer cats because they pretty much look after themselves but come to chill out with you every so often. |
