Never done a test before but believe it's mainly to do with logic so think many fabbers would do well as practical and can work out many different positions  |

Well, i did Google average male and female IQ's for the UK and i couldn't find any data. I assumed therefore that men must have a higher IQ. |

IQ testing is somewhat discredited - it also measures something that they propose is fixed, yet an individual can increase their results. Of limited value.
There are a lot of people here who seemingly show good intelligence. With thousands of users IQ results should probably reflect that of the general population. |

It’s true that many of us ladies don’t say about our IQ as it’s still a very male dominated thing. But yes I was invited to join Mensa and I’ve no idea what mine is now as I haven’t been tested for years. X |

Carol is also a proud member of The Nines Club...those at “Fenland Polytechnic” who receive a Third Class result in each of their three undergraduate years...as Edison said “genius is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration”...
To modern life, as others have said, perhaps something about EI needs to be added to the quote though. I work with quite a few highly intelligent people who cannot progress because they are terrible at dealing with people. |

Yesterday one person was asking whether a police dog was paid a wage.
Another person was saying that all Acts of Parliament are maritime matters.
Sometimes you don't need to put a figure on a person's IQ to work it out! |

True, IQ measures the ability to do well on IQ tests. Apart from bragging rights, not sure what else this is useful for...of course, it is correlated with other abilities that are more useful in life, but isn’t necessarily predictive of success. Which was sort of my point originally. |
