Hello fellow fabbers
Just wondering if we have any physiotherapists here who can help identify a knee injury (I think I have done my MCL) but not sure...
Any advice would be very gratefully received

If you think you've torn it I don't think they can diagnose that without some sort of explorative surgery. I tore my ACL playing 5 a side football at uni but wasn't confirmed until they did keyhole surgery. |

Imagine how much more of a pain in the ass it will be if you don't go and get actual proper advice from a medical professional.
What were you doing when you think you did it? |

I was playing 11 a side football and pitch gave way...my left knee bent inwards towards right leg...
Pretty sure I haven't done anything as bad as ACL as it didn't swell much and from friends experience the pain is a different level..

You really do need to go to a Dr for a proper diagnosis |

Have a look up of bursitis do you have any build up of fluid on the knee cap. it it’s when applying pressure to the knee cap and on bending this is a good possibility there will be no real signs of bruising and is normally from an impact. Any tear ligament or muscle would normally result in bad bruising.
Hope this helps

"Haha
I knew that was going to be advice but being a stubborn man I was hoping I could get away without going...
Cheers though "
In the meantime though anti inflammatories and keep it moving although it's painful, that's what I was told when I did my ACL |

Any decent professional Physio would not give you any advice on a forum or via email. They may actually be leaving themselves open to be struck off through negligence.
The ones that will I wouldn’t trust there judgment at all. |

Thanks for this, the pain is definitely on the side of the knee not the knee cap... |

Hence why no message or email sent. Bang on with this statement.
