What sort of age range are you hoping to appeal to? Do you have any subject matter in mind? Would it be a book of short stories, or a novel?

Although I have no real experience, I went to boarding school, and we were actively encouraged to write our own stuff and someone else read it out in class. I was better than studying Billy Shakespeare anyway

Go to a Publisher, they’ll give you the best insight into what’s saleable if it’s a commercial endeavour. There are workshops up and down the country that will help you too.

The best way to get help is to immerse yourself in that field, good luck. -M
