What a weird post! There’ll be classy smokers and classy non-smokers. It’s about how you comport yourself, not about whether you have a nicotine addiction.

And if you understand what words like 'comport' mean

I think it’s down to personal opinion on what you see as classy, do you see smoking as an added element? Sort of the older style woth a cigarette holder and long white gloves? I would see that as classy in the right setting but on the other hand seeing someone surrounded by old nub ends and ash on their clothes wouldn’t quite be as attractive, I think it’s one of those eye of the beholder things

When you say describe am going to presume you mean on the ladies profile, if I am correct then it will say if they smoke.

I would take it up, if only to hold a cigarette between thumb and forefinger like a 1950s spiv

You know, that would suit you...a young George Cole in the original St.Trinians films?

Strewth, cor-blimey and no mistake!

I’d also consider a cigarette holder and smoking jacket like Terry-Thomas but it’s a devil to get the velvet crushed properly, they’re an absolute shahh

Reminds me of The Fast Show - “Me, the Fourth Earl of Bedford, alone, in the middle of night, in a girls’ boarding school...f’nar”

I think it depends on what you define as 'classy'. If you relate smoking to actual 'social classes' then I would hazard a guess that it is predominantly the middle classes who have 'abandoned the smoking ship' (;-)) in their droves...Many traditional working class smokers have simply continued to do so, along with eating processed foods and not worrying about how much salt they put on their chips, etc. Along with this class, I believe there are also a good number of proper upper class smokers who simply continue regardless....the upper classes have always tended to behave in whatever way they please regardless of what the masses are being encouraged (or discouraged) to do at a particular point in time.

Conclusion...yes, if classy equals 'posh', then I reckon you should take yourself off to the races or a polo match or two and witness just how many 'classy women' still smoke
