Holiday was awesome thanks, loads of fantastic skiing, too much beer, but not enough sex!! Which is fair enough given I was out there with my son and not my wife

Totally counts. You were near exercise. I think it enters you by osmosis or summink innit?!

Doesn’t matter. You’re still raising your heart beat and getting moving. The rest is just arbitrary goals. It’s the exercising and the activity that counts and you’re doing that perfectly.

Brilliant x x x

To put this in perspective for me, I love to cycle anywhere I go, not that I cycle far but any time I am on foot I am constantly thinking if I was on my cycle I would have been there by now. So it's more a mental challenge for me as I know I can run, I do it most Saturdays to get to the butchers before the ladies leave at 1pm. Again though it's running to get somewhere before it closes / train leaves.

Really must sign up to parkrun this evening.

Just been reading through the threads and the funniest thing I have read in ages was a response to Twat:

"It's waiting for a peer review."

Made me cough!

I have run 5 K yesterday and did 10K this morning....Oh no.....dreaming.

Off sick so possibly the worst start to being a runner. 1 bike ride in 3 weeks!

Well done Mrs T for your run. Congrats to the rest of you who are achieving success. Hope to be at least making a contribution soon!

Have a question for the OP and the community of craprunners.

A friend of mine (who is as bad at running as me) and I are considering swimming together to make a contribution. Do we have to be running exclusively or could we still contribute to this great endeavour with our breast stroke?

You are absolutely welcome to try to get fitter by whatever method suits you (provided you show no aptitude for it - we’re crap remember?!)

We have people walking, boxing, cycling, swimming and, in Harry’s case, chasing women around a butcher’s shop.

Just tell us what you’re up to and how you get on. We’ll say well done when you succeed and we’ll take the piss when you fail.

What is happening to me

So week 5 run 1, 3 x 5 mins run but the last 5 mins i kept running to 7.5 mins I'm completely shocked at myself and I'm enjoying it

Some help please.....i keep getting a stitch, why do i get this and how do i not get it lol I'm surprised i only got it on my 2nd 5mins and not the 3rd

Time to get ready for work

Sorry you’re working so hard. It sounds relentless.

But that’s amazing about the running. To feel able to continue at the end is awesome. Your fitness must be improving loads.

I have no idea about why people get stitches. I’m sure one of our experts can help.

Really well done. Hope your last shift flies by.

"I did it! I ran for 25 minutes without stopping!!! There was not a drop of energy left. But I did it.

I’m a bit gobsmacked.

Is it worth it? The ladies at the butchers I mean...are they worth a butchers?

We have some quite filthy banter and I wonder if they have seen me on here or know what I get upto lol.

So where is this butcher’s ship? Asking for a friend you understand...

Or even shop!"

It’s where Harry meats women...

...(see what I did there?)

"W3 R1 done struggled a bit calf is a bit tight but it’s done and in the bank

Will probably run Wednesday night now

It was bloody freezing today and snowing a bit lol"

Really well done. Is that the five minute run? I think that’s a big step forward - it the first one that I would have thought was impossible.

Admittedly it's the old boy at the back that starts it off and it's not every week but it's priceless when it happens.

Bah! I’m struggling with the running for 5 minutes malarkey. I do find it easier on the treadmill but still not getting there. 3.5 minutes is my absolute best haha.
