"What is the worst most irritating sound that someone can make in your opinion..
Clacking false Teeth! gawd its a disgusting sound.
I am beginning to be really irritated by it (swear) "

I imagine it would be in a shared prison cell in the middle of the silent night when your cellmate climbs down from the top bunk to take a dump and you can hear everything in HD |

Yes.. that can set me off on its own.. I used to work in a care home.. we had to deal with some difficult situations involving bodily functions as you can imagine  If one of the other carers wretched.. they'd set me off as well  I could close my nose and mind off to the rest of what I was doing.. but not that
My sister used to set me off in the car if she got travel sick.. I'd be fine, till she started barfing. I'd be screwed up in the feral position trying to clamp my ears up, eyes screwed shut and holding my nose.. because after the noise comes the smell... it's almost impossible to close down all the senses with just two hands "
Sounds like us! 6 in a car going on holiday and I would always be the first to go. Usually by the time we got to the end of our road!  |

Currently the pillock a few doors along. Must have bought a shitty car from eBay. He's home all day but chooses to tinker with the car in the eves, when the rest of us only want to unwind. So far it's banging in the engine bay & revving the guts out of it before it stops. Not much gets me annoyed, but I think he's found something! Words will be had |

Open mouths eating, although I dislike others kids shrieking in public when uncontrolled. I live with tinnitus 24/7 and know that hell but some noises aggravate and inflates it for hours - especially high pitched whines and squeals. |

I'm with you. Don't mind crunchy food being crunched but the smacking of lips or the food as its masticated....makes me wanna murder someone!

Loud eaters, Ads when he has a cocktail stick in his mouth and he cracks it, blackboard with nails being scraped down it, the sound a soft hairbrush makes in your hand (shudder). Someone chewing on gum and making that really annoying noise (double shudder and makes me feel sick!). Engine fault sound on my car, yes I don’t need to be reminded it’s fucked!

A soft pencil on newspaper, police sirens actually hurt my ears now never used to bother me....think my hearing has got more "sensitive" as I've got older.....more everyday sounds that you probably never noticed before start pissing you off |
