Thus if I said if I refused to socialise with black people and that was my preference, everyone would say I was an appalling bigot. Say I refuse to have sex with people, and that is my preference and that tends to be accepted. Everyone does indeed have the right to sexual autonomy, but if you have a blanket exclusion of a certain ethnicity because you are not attracted to them, then that lack of attraction is probably based on racist assumptions. Nothing you can do about it perhaps, but healthy to recognize it I think. | |||

But interesting to think, learn and educate about where attraction can be influenced sometimes without one being cognitively aware. There is a difference between choosing not to, and just not doing. Stretching my memory, I don't think I have spent any part of my life socialising with any one of Chinese origin. Is it more racist that I know none or if I were to seek some out to tick a box?
