This is not the rant of a spurned single male but an honest question/observation.

In its first few years fabswingers was a site for people who knew and understood the lifestyle or for people who were curious and dipping toes in, it was quiet niche,it was polite, non demanding and a community.

It seems somewhat that it has become a demanding, aggressive easy option for people (of both sex) to have one off hook up sex with someone that they would struggle to even get eye contact from in a bar, almost a 'swipe left for instant sex' type site.

This is of course only my opinion and I understand times change. But can it still really be called a swingers site?

Michael.

There and to the left a bit

I've only been here a couple of years so can't comment on how it may have been before that.

I do think though that the site caters for a range of tastes and needs though - and that includes for one off hook ups as well as swinging meets and much more besides.

The overall view I tend to take though is does it cater to my needs, and how O want to use it? And the answer to that is yes, and so long as it continues to do so I'll continue to visit.

How others choose to use the site is not really my concern unless that usage impacts me in any way

Does it really matter. It's a site for casual sex, swinging, attention seeking and cake spotting. As long as it's enjoyable for you who cares how others use it

There appears to be a Heirarchy of Swinging.

Depending on how much in demand you are (either within a particular demographic or because you have a tangible advantage over others) depends on your interpretation on who should or should not be on here.

Are you a sexually liberated couple? Probably swingers.

Are you a single bi female? guaranteed to be in demand.

Are you a horny married guy playing away? Change your name to Lucifer and prepare to burn. However you will suit someone's needs.

Are you a male who only cams? Not the site for you.

Are you a female who only cams? We all respect your wishes...

I think you understand the point I'm making.

Why be elitist and look down your nose at others on the site? It is bad enough that society sniggers at our activities whilst secretly envying us...

If it was a swipe left for instant sex type of site there would be no ranting single males .

A site like this that reflects the requirements of its user will evolve to suit those requirements. If those users call it a swinging site then that's what it is.

We use it how we want to. Lots of people sat we're not proper swingers because we insist on socials first, don't use clubs and meet single men but we just get in with it. That's the beauty of the site, you can use it how you want to. If you change the name it'll remain the same

Society is changing though. We are getting used to "on demand" everything.

I think it's just indicative of today's culture in general.

People are far more impatient than ever before,no manners, don't respect anyone else and have massively over inflated egos.

It's a me me me culture, quick fix fuck n go.i have no time to cultivate a relationship and trust all I want is a fuck.

Whereas swinging is more of a lifestyle where people enjoy building a rapport and socializing as much as the sex.

Maybe it's time for fab to have a section for quick one off and single on single meets?

Personally I think a social first is a big part of swinging. I won't meet anyone for sex without one for my safety. Pretty much given up meeting new people as they just seem to have the instashag mentality.

People can use the site how they want. However you define swinging yourself wont bother other people. Live and let live.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I've been on the fora for 6 years at the end of this month. Same complaints and demands just different user names.

The majority remain sensibly recreational and community minded.

Just an observation, like many of us, you've obviously been on here before left and come back. The point I'm making is that you're obviously content with how things are because you've come back and you're still here.
