I'm a bus mechanic so I kind of like you, I mean if you drivers didn't break them then I wouldn't have a job fixing them eh! Lol
Don't worry, I'm never in London lol
You guys do a sterling job, strict deadlines, passenger comfort, traffic, violence, you guys get it all. Hats off to you! |

I like most of the bus drivers I meet. My father in law is a bus driver so I know the majority of local ones. There’s one who I cannot stand (for very very good personal reasons) and I cannot stand his father in law (me and the hubby don’t speak to any of his family). But apart from that, I like them |

There's alot of lady bus drivers these days . On the whole I find them to be more pleasant than alot of the blokes. Some very unpleasant bus drivers I've found. In the wrong job if they are that twisted n short with the punters. Room for improvement is my observation.

Except us 'coach' drivers are always looking ahead... behind.. to the sides! What does a airline pilot do? Oh yeah he takes off and lands.. it's all computers for them, easy life eh. |

Some I like: the ones who stop beside me so I can get on. The twats who take pleasure in parking past the bus stop, or tell you you needed the last stop, I don't.

I like some, but I don't like the ones who shout down the bus "oi, back here" just because he didn't clock my pass as I got on, I only get the bus when I go into city centre, because parking is a ball ache, but when you get one of those drivers who hasn't smiled since the 80s I just want to get off the bus after teaching him a few new expletives |

Most of them are just fine. Some are excellent. Some need some enforced career guidance.
It's the best way to see London and with the new Hopper Fare it's also the cheapest, bar walking.

I remember my parents talking about a neighbour who was a bus driver groupie, her and a friend or two used to hang around the demo as the late buses finished and go aboard for some fun on the bus.
It was pretty well talked about in our street years back.

I doubt it's the answer you're looking for, but I always thank my bus driver when I get off, and I always let them pull out when I'm driving.*

Agreed! Bus Drivers can, more often than not, be responsible for up to 70 people sitting in the vehicle.
I applied to become a Bus Driver last year but unfortunately failed the medical on one unknown medical issue.
But I have a lot of respect for both Bus / Coach, AND Truck Drivers. Without them, the country would grind to a halt! |

Well it's very nice to be appreciated by some.. there are plenty out there that hate us though, the mayor of London being one of them.
We bring tourists to big attractions... without us the theatre's wouldn't be quite soo full, theme parks would lose out, and many other places where coaches are plentiful... 2019 will see lots of changes. |
