Do you have a preference ? I like both, like the look of stockings with a suspender belt. Hold ups are easier though for putting on although sometimes they should be called won’t hold up.

Rea favours stockings unless she thinks her outfit is too figure hugging to wear suspenders with, then she wears hold ups, usually with a smooth welt.

I love both tho hold-ups are quick and easy... like yours truly...!
Quick tip for hold-ups, I am allergic to the latex on the strips at the top so I put on a barrier cream - the body cream from Lidl (or was it Aldi?) is cheap as chips and really rich and creamy. So I apply a band around my thighs and pull up to that point. It makes it slightly tacky so holds up the hold-up better... |

I love both but stockings are my favourite...would love them more if I could find a suspender belt that was never a problem to do up and just one fastener never pinged off all night!  |

i cant be doing with suspenders.. bloody hell it takes long enough to get ready as it is without adding that into the mix.. hold ups all the time.. the Tesco ones have never let me down.. unlike some i bought on ebay once that which held up for about 30 seconds.. |

Totally depends on what outfit I’m wearing, tight dress or skirt will show suspenders which might be what effect I’m after sometimes others I don’t want it to be that obvious and so will wear hold ups |

Hold-ups are useless.... They're fine to use for posing for a few pics, but anything more than that and they'll roll down and start to bag around the ankles Nora Batty style!
Stockings are much sexier, plus there's something just so seductive about a peeking suspender clip, or the way a suspender strap digs ever so slightly into a rounded buttock...
For those who like the effect, but don't like the way a suspender belt squeezes them around the middle, or makes visible lines in clothes... There are other options! I use a 6 strap suspender belt with holdups. That way you get the sexy look without the problems. The holdups stay in place and do not drag the belt down. But if the holdups do slip then the belt is there to limit the slip and keep them in place. I find this works great as I love to keep the tops above the hemline with short skirts when I'm out walking but then when the fun start you have that sexy look. |

Stockings every time for me. Always black with a wide lace top. Been wearing them since I was 17. With the suspenders they just make me feel so sexy. Guys generally think so too although they all think I walk around in them constantly which is just not practical lol |

I love hold ups - I use alcohol based hand gel around where the band sits to create a stick zone, also use them with suspenders clips but like others find suspender clips and absolute faff!

I absolutely love them both.
I even have a custom made Suspender belt with straps that hold up my stockings on the inside of my thighs (as this is where my stocking tops hang at the lowest points).
I always go for the ones with thick straps too. |
