Just back after visiting San Francisco, LA & Vegas. Was all good with plenty of sights & things to do but I really liked the sheer size of Vegas. Took a while to get used to the 24/7 feel but some beautiful hotels especially at night.

Love San Francisco, up there as one of my fave US cities. LA is bland, overhyped and full of luvvies. No inclination to ever visit again.
Vegas is great to tick off the bucket list, you’re right, the hotels are something else especially seeing all the displays at night. Great if you’re a gambler, and as a base to see the Grand Canyon from, but now I’ve been once will I return? Probably not, for a while at least.
It’s worth a drive into Yosemite for a few days from SF, and the coastal drive South is nice too. Monterey is fantastic for whale watching! |

"Oh yeah not to live but good place to go for a week, any longer might be dangerous!!Certainly the city that never sleeps "
The city that never sleeps is NYC Don't take that away from us!
I don't like LA at all. But generally speaking I like the landscape of the western U.S. the rugged beauty and stark landscape. But then, I also have a thing for rocks so I'm biased. |

" San Francisco was beautiful did Acatraz & Golden Gate Bridge & there are plenty of pretty pics to take but found the steep streets hard work - people who live there must have a lot of knee/hip replacements. |
