We move into oue new housw in a few weeks and our excitement in Sofology over realising our new corner sofa is also a hug pull out bed is ridiculous. God only knows what the sales rep thought of us rolling around discussing how many we could fit on here. So we can't wait to christen our new home and new sofa with a fab meet. Is that wrong?

What have the forumites fab christened in the past? Any plans to celebrate a future purchase?

I bought a new kitchen table few months back, just had to have the fb and me christen it, I was very surprised it’s still standing as they don’t make things like they use too

your imagination

Haven't had anything new to christen in a while... But that's going to change as I may get a new bed... In his (ahem) enthusiasm, my fwb has managed to break yet another piece of my furniture!! My sofa still sags a bit in the middle from one of our early encounters...

My son-in-law bought a massive corner sofa and also spent out on cover for it which means they can get it professionally cleaned for free as often as they like due to the presence of 3 small children.

This might be something you should consider before making any invitations.
