I went to the cinema to see Darkest hour yesterday wow what a great actor Gary Oldman is,must admit I had goosebumps and a tear in my eye at the end of the film

Haven't seen it yet but I will shortly . For me Gary Oldman is the most underrated actor on the scene . Every character he plays is just mesmerising.

Watched it on Sky yesterday. There are parallels between what is going on now but for one really really important difference. We are not actually at war with Germany. I think my local MP is under the delusion that he is striking some sort of blow for freedom and us plucky Brits will follow the new Churchill (Boris) into action against the dark empire all on our own.

Churchill never rode the Underground and talked to ordinary Brits there. Let alone Brits of colour as portrayed in the film.

Yeah that bit was bollucks. But i thought the film was good, it look a pretty boring subject (political negotiations) and made an interesting film. It's sort of like a serious 'Yes minister'. No easy task.
