People who live interdependent lives and rely on their strong social bonds to support one another. The Forums are a Tribe of a sort. There are also Tribes within the Forum Tribe. Some are negative, some positive, some neutral. Historically most Tribes of people have been divided by ethnicity, so I do see where you are coming from and you make a good point. It doesn't have to be that way and isn't always that way, now we live in a multicultural society. A cricket club in Birmingham could have a strong team based sense of Tribalism. With members who have roots in Trinidad, the Bahamas, Poland, India, Pakistan, English, Welsh, Scotland etc. It's the love of Cricket that brings them together and forms a sense of Tribalism. They compete against other Tribes, but with a sense of fair play and a belonging to the wider Tribal Culture of Cricket as a whole. However, I've had the advantage of living a priveledged childhood and my parents could afford the lifestyle that kept us away from the majority of the worst of what an indirectly racist society can throw at you. I don't know what it must feel like to live in a society where people of my skin colour or ethnicity have been treated like animals and commodities to be bought, sold, tortured and used like their lives meant nothing.
