The Lady in the Rivers is the third in the series you have the Red Queen and and The White Queen both fantastic great women (The War of The Roses series) Before The Tudors. I love how Phillipa portrays all the women from Henry's wives to Hannah I do fall in love with the characters. Can't you tell I am a huge fan of Phillipa. |

Kit's reading 'Midnight Movie' by Tobe Hooper, a documentary style horror novel by the guy who made Texas Chainsaw. In a word: awesome.
Kitty's reading Clockwork & Corsets, a collection of steampunk romance stories. |

My daughters bought me the trilogy for my birthday. I've been reading it since 17 September. I'm on page 100... ...it is hard going. |

Jem, I've brought up the book 'queen of night' by Alan Savage - the one I told you about - ur welcome to borrow it. Plus got a couple of others by Anya Seyton but Katherine is by far her best.
Oh I'm reading The Distant Hours by Kate Morton up here and gonna take 'The Bearers of the Black Staff' by Terry Brooks back down with me to Liverpool cos I've got no more books at the old house |

Well, I always have Lord of the Rings on the go, just to go back to when in the mood to get engrossed. Earth Abides by George R Stewart is another kept close by. Not into detective novels, love stories or anything overfactual.
Other than that a local author has given me a manuscript to read and I have given him one too. Always love to be the first "outsider" to read and pass judgement on a new author or book. |

"I'm just working my way through the Discworld series so far I've got up to The Thief Of Time."
Interesting.
I've always thought the whole Discworld thing was a pile of poop. But having seen Terry P on the documentary he made about euthanasia I'm considering reading some of his stuff. |

Angel Times by Anne Rice (LOVE her work), just starting Game of Thrones & a really cheesy supernatural romance called Dark Dreams.
I always tend to have a few books on the go at once...... |

Karen Rose - I can see you
Its ok, but what annoys me about her books is that the leading lady and the cop always fall in love, they guys previous wives have always died of tragic circumstances and they always have constant hard ons every time they look at the heroine. Pisses me off that its the same formula in every bloody book. |

Keep going its well worth it in the end, book 2 has a chunk in the middle that is tough going but its worth carrying on. |

I am currently reading A Man Without A Country by the late Kurt Vonnegut.
It is a slim book that showcases a collection of thoughts/short essays/ideas on various subjects that concern everyday life - from the mundane to the magnificent. |

Resurrectionist by James McGee.
Book two of a trilogy about a Bow Street Runner, a veteran of Wellingtons army.
Anyone who's read the Sharpe books will see a similarity in some of the characters.
Its set in the London of the early 1800's, very dark and atmospheric, would adapt well to T.V. R

Geoffrey Hayes... Life at the end or the rainbow.
Its interesting and far reaching although the graphic fisting and sewing of metal fasteners to oral apertures is pretty distressing.

"The adventures of Tom Sawyer."
Oh yayy! You found it?
I'm currently reading Nice Girls finish last I picked up a load of chick lit to read on my week off next week. I don't need anything heavy going as I'm supposed to be relaxing and stress free so a couple of bonk busters and a few by my favourite authors - although I couldn't resist a new one (to me) by Tess Gerritsen (not chick lit or easy lighthearted but a bloody good author).
