My daughter lent me the trilogy when they first came out. I skipped all the sex scenes because of her poor attempt at imagery and dialogue. I struggled through the second one and got a few pages into the third before giving up. The story line wasn't gripping enough to keep me interested and I have better sex. She turns down all the good stuff.
Careful what you wish for. |

Same for me, gave up before finishing the third it was so bad. As for the films, if you think her writing is bad, you should see the acting in those |

I'm a huge fan off all the books and films. At the time when I started reading them My sex life was pretty much nonexistent so maybe that's why I got into it all so much. And I did have few Doms I the past and I loved every second of it. Haha |

You're an old hand then
I like naturally dominant men. It has to be in them and not acted out. |

Read snippets but he would be the type of Dom I'd warn people away from...( from the small bits of the movie I've watched and the excerpts I've read)
Its written by someone who admits she hasnt a clue. But plenty of women seem to enjoy the books |

"Read the books and seen the films but perfer the books though. Think the films leave out the best bits and not a fan of the actors in the films x "
Yeah I agree with you on that. The guy playing Mr grey is far from what I had in my mind when I was reading the books. X |

I read the books and did enjoy them despite the bad writing. He’s not my ideal dom but the idea was good. And the films aren’t that good, they’re both very different from what I envisaged them to look like. X |

He says himself he isn't a dominant; he's a sadist. " In my opinion he's not even that.. But I couldn't bring myself to read more than I did. All I know is when the Book first came out it was a nightmare in the fetish world. |

Read it out of curiosity, it's a bit of titillation and not to be taken as gospel of how BDSM happens in the real world.
Yeah we all know it's a bit crap but if it helps a few people realise kink isn't to be something to be ashamed of or never talked about, then that's a good thing.

I would agree with you Brain, after all how many times can a women say “oh my” and waffle on about her inner goddess?
I managed 1 & 1/2 books before I gave it up as a bad idea.
