It's far more prevalent than we realise, but somehow we're far more comfortable to let it simmer in the background unchallenged.
As you get older you're deemed to be less capable, less viable and even a liability. Treat any other ism like that and you're for it!! |

I guess the thing is; we all age. So ageism is kinda forgiveable as we'll all get old. The young person being ageist will one day be on the receiving end.
We don't change gender or race, so those isms are a bit nastier.
Sexuality is a different case as people can change sexuality. |

Ageism does exist but I’ve not found it a major problem on here.
Age is just a number and we are all looking for different things. For me I’ve met some lovely people on here and sex often gets better with age |

I'm not arsed about ageism, if someone takes issue with how many laps round the sun I've done they're not worth my time, I'm more sexual, and a much better lover in my 40s than I was in my 20s because I know more, and I'm not in a rush to get off.
I do worry about the youth of today though, I think they get tared with the same brush a loan that's not fair |

Age is just a number - plus there is biological age and cultural views on age. If I like someone I like them. The one prejudice I have is I done go for people below 30.
As an educator working with young people you realise very quickly that even the ex-student that visits you at 20 is still a child. I don't think I became a man until I was about 25. For me it was realising I didn't know everything and that I had everything to learn from people around me.

Ageism will always happen among generation because very likely you will not share the same interest in the little things like music, art, taste, life experience. Of course could also be what attract both partner if there is a similarity. |

The way it is taught now is very different. We sort of took lessons to be able to help the kids with homework.
