Invite them to your place instead then?
We spent around 2 years sorting our house out after buying it. Loads of ongoing working isn’t exactly out of the ordinary |

I'll let you into a secret and hope all the other single guy's don't cast me out....
We start "projects" in the home, but when it gets tedious, there's no motivation (nagging ) to get it bloody finished!  |

I live alone and have hosted a couple of gang bangs for a couple, I'm not inclined to have half a dozen strangers wandering around here so I booked a Travelodge, a single lady is welcome though  |

Ok, not a single guy, but can't accommodate & really am living in a building site.
19 months after moving in, 1 room complete, 1 room half done, at this rate I probably won't be finished this decade |

They're only surprised if it's men though. Women are perfectly right to not invite strangers off the Internet into their sanctuary for sex but men should open their doors to all comers or be accused of being married  |

So I've discovered!
Given the other half til May to finish the work he started in October 2014 (adding a radiator, fixing the leak in the bathroom, installing new bathroom, connecting sockets, replace flashing around skylight. Did I mention he's a heating engineer, electrician, roofer?
If I have to put my hand in my pocket to complete the works before I can put the house on the market he'll not be moving with me. |

Agree totally.
I never assume they're married, I assume they don't want me in their home which is fine, just don't expect an invite to mine.

I can accommodate at times but I see a lot of my kids and I also have grown up kids who turn us and when they please so if I was going to have somebody round I’d need to be sure my kids wouldn’t be calling in. Single men have lives that can get in the way too ya know. |

I know how that goes. I used to multi-trade (mostly bathrooms & kitchens). Still can't be added at home, because I'm not being paid for it haha!  |
