All salient points but it seems to me that the sort of people who do that, don’t come anywhere near the forums, apart from the odd troll who will do all that deliberately to get a rise, so I don’t think it’s going to change much. |

Very rarely block anyone unless they send multiple messages but here is my criteria on whether I reply
1/ I look at both the profile and message
2/ See whether I am physically attracted to them (this is where good photos help).
3/ Check what is written in the profile and the message to get an initial impression of their personality.
4/ Read their verifications and from that scan the people they have met.
A person can 'fail' at any one of those steps (some much quicker than others) but if not I will start up a conversation with them.
I am very specific in what I am looking for which cuts down the number of messages I get which helps.
