I know, we used to ask people to go and get us ale as well. Never bought a scratch card, in my life. |

"When one of ours was about 13 they went on a sleepover and the mum phoned me to ask if it was ok for them to have a Bacardi Breezer "
Yeah I've found a lot more parents seem to be more relaxed regarding alcohol than I am. My daughter had her 15 year old friend there and they asked if they could make up a shandy and I told her to ask her mum.
Her mum just laughed and said you don't need to ask just for a shandy. I wouldn't dream of giving another child alcohol without checking even if it is half a can of Fosters and some lemonade. |

I said no. I said I didn't mind a weak shandy but not spirits. |

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound |
"I had a tricky conversation with a teenager about the film Secretary today.
Maggie Gyllenhaal?"
Yes. Discussing the dynamics of the relationship, who has the power and what might lead someone to want that relationship.
I can't imagine having that conversation with anyone when I was 16, let alone a relative. |

Take his money, but buy the card, if it wins, go back in the shop and buy the kid beer and cigs with the cash. Life's balance is restored, the kid is back on track, and the country (sorry treasury) is much better off for your good deed! |

No, nor I. I wish it had been possible though. |
