Hi OP.
I've not been to townhouse yet but have heard very good things about it so it is on my list of clubs to try.
It is always nerve wracking visiting a club for the first time and it is normal to be nervous. It would be strange if you weren't.
The key to having a good visit is to be friendly and sociable. If you can interact in "normal" social situations then you should be ok at a swingers club. The only real difference is people may be wearing less clothing and someone might be having sex somewhere in the building.
Go with no expectations and if you get to play then that's a bonus.
Townhouse do a newbies and notso event. It is aimed a people new to the club scene and would probably be the perfect event to start with. They usually post details in the clubs/events forum and you need to ask to be put on the guestlist. |

I just realised I didn't answer your original question .
On my first club visit I was bloody terrified .
I put off going for a few months and eventually plucked up the courage to go to my closest club, the attic in derby. I sat in my car for a while before I went in and very nearly changed my mind and drove home!
I decided that i definitely didn't want to play on my first visit, I just wanted to have a look around and get a feel for the place. I told them it was my first visit and they showed me around the club and explained the rules - no means no, if anyone touches without asking to report it etc.
Everyone was very respectful of the fact I didn't want to play on my first visit and I was made very welcome.
The hardest part was just walking through the door because I had no idea of what to expect.
I've been visiting clubs for over a year now, whenever work and homelife allows. I don't always play but I do always enjoy myself. |
