"My 2018 resolution is to have my first gin and tonic."
I was a Gin virgin until about 4 yrs back, could not stand the smell, but given a G&T with ice and lemon on a warm summers evening, I was hooked |

Gin is horrible.
It's tragic how pubs now try and pretend that a G&T is a cocktail as well, by serving it in a stupid goblet with miscellaneous fruit and plants thrown in. |

"As an aside - I don't touch it anymore. It makes me incredibly maudlin. "
I was only saying to someone yesterday that gin makes people cry. I knew I was right. |

If it's got a fruit skewer in it it's a cocktail. |

It turns me into "d*unk eeyore" and also makes me interpret the Smiths at face value. |

You need a bit of Leonard Cohen to liven you up. |

I like a normal gin (usually Tanquray) and naturally light Fevertree tonic with lemon, cucumber and juniper berries.
A Whitley Neill rhubarb and ginger gin and naturally light Fevertree tonic and ice.
And I love the Zymurgorium sweet violet gin on its own with just ice - it tastes like Parma Violet sweets |
