hi can anybody give me some advice about my emachines notebook? When i switch it on it wont load any icons or programmes and if do manage to get them on the screen goes blank as soon as i click on any of them, please help if you can,thanks x |

As others say, running in safe mode gets around a lot of problems. Driver issues sometimes cause issues too, so my next step would be to restore to a previous restore point.
The methodology for this - and I'm assuming that you're running windows, as it's obviously not Apple, but could be Linux etc - varies according to the version of Windows that you're using.
Do you know if it's Windows XP or 7? If it's 7, then - once you've (hopefully) got it to load in Safe Mode - click the Start button.
Then, in the search box, write (well, type) System Restore and click to search. Choose 'System Restore' from the list of options, and then it should help you to choose from the various dates that a System Restore point was made - there's a wizard that will help you to do this. |
