Share your aims, goals for getting fitter or losing weight. Maybe you've already achieved what you want to, so feel free to share how well you've done already. And if you're struggling we can encourage each other too.

I’m doing more gym, having my naughty crisps in soup for lunch which isn’t the done thing. Weight stayed the same this week. I’m aiming for 7000 steps a day on my tracker and will gradually increase as my aim is 10000 a day. Going to do lots of walking this weekend.

Can you wear a tracker during sex? Wonder how many steps that would add?

How’s everyone else faring?

I go out walking and and running. Found power walking uphill I get better results. Going out 5 days a week hail rain or snow. My motivation was booking a couple of holidays in the sun. If I lose 10lbs I'll be delighted x

Thats good exercise all round. Very good cardiovascular work out,but like lot of these things depends upon air quality in area your pushing your lungs and body. Sadly to many people walk or run by roads...

Wow sounds like your motivated and if out five days and eat well won't take you long to loose that..get your mr to give you lots of sexercise lol but no kissing..kissing puts calories on...sex takes them off...so if you must kiss...you must finish with a long fuck to work it off. That's some useless facts lol

So best of luck to you. All for walking, best thing can do for body

I have given up alcohol for a month and cut back on carbs, been running lots more, made it out four days for a short run so far this week. Weigh in tomorrow, last week I had managed to lose a total of 3lbs since I started.

Aiming to lose 6lb in total.

It’s just weight that has slowly crept on from eating the wrong things.

Wondering how many steps sex will add. I read in documents feom NASA that kissing puts Calories on a body but sex takes them off...so if you like kissing.. make sure end any kissing with lots of swx

Sex after roughly 20 mins becomes cardiovascular and therefore benefits the body all round.

Sex loosens up body and muscle groups...tones body all over (well good imaginative sex does). It can be better for the body stress wise than anything else.

You enjoy sex more...the fitter you are.

Keep up the good work. Best of luck

I'd got a bit lazy in the run up to Xmas and, like moany people, I ate too much and exercised too little over the festive season.

I am pleased to say I'm back at the gym and exercise classes 5 times a week, and have already lost my Xmas belly.

I'm wee chuffed with myself

Now aiming to tone up a bit more, in tine for my boudoir photo shoot in March.

Ive done really well of late,

been on the radiotherapy diet...

It has all the benefits of bulimia but without the social taboos associated with it....

Managed to lose over a stone since the new year...

Trying to make light of it.. sorry if i offended anyone, it was a little sick, however once Im over my treatment I will be getting myself back to full fitness...

Plans are for a Hugh Jackman physique, just without the spiky knuckle thing going on..

I did a similar thing on the total colectomy and ileostomy diet. It involved shitting lots of blood for about 4 months.

For recovery, might I reccomend Guinness?

I have done dry jan and meat free this month. I've lost 8lbs so far. Also Celibacy. Surprisingly, stuck to all 3 and the bonus is I realise that if my mind is set I can do it.

Each month I'll try a new thing. Next month it'll be herbal tea instead of tea/coffee and 10,000 steps a day x

Was only talking bout this very matter of time in the outdoor world today.

Like I started climbing at 4/5 as a kid of 8 was climbing in lake district with my friends father. Just him and I would climb. He took me the Alps when I was 14 again at 16. During my 20s climbed states, Canada, Italy, Switzerland, France, Russia, to name a few. Team selected to summit k2 real deal... could not raise funds was..ballsedup my one chance to climb a mountain I dreamed of..from moment my mates dad gave me an old post card from Himalayas and talking of climbing k2 back in 70s I was hooked.

Yep sadly never did it..never got any real chance again and now to late. If I did it now I would not comeback. I'd a sad fact ran out of time

Once it’s warmer I need to get my bike sorted and also get back open water swimming! I want to do a triathlon once I’m a bit healthier. I did a 3.8k swim a couple of years back so would be nice to train for further, maybe 5k

I was a County Netball player for yrs so my goal is to start playing again this year. I am now back at the gym and swimming a little. I bought a racing bike but haven't used it much so another goal is to cycle more. I already feel a little fitter, Yeah

I’ve worked out (yes it’s taken all these years!) that I stick to things so much better if I can incorporate into my daily routine, make them almost a daily challenge.

So I’m doing Dry January again, have started the 30 day yoga challenge in a bid to move more and eat less, which for me is the key because I want to lose weight alongside improving my fitness levels...

So much harder for the older you get with these things, less chance of quick recovery if crash, bang, wallop down mountain.

Hear you on life's to short. Especially with outdoors and adventurous activities.

I first jumped off a cliff into very deep powder snow in Scottish mountains, the side of Ben Nevis at about 13. Then off a 60ft bridge into water the same year. Was hooked on that also. I still jump nowadays. But I've lost my bottle a little. Or perhaps value life more now. Who knows. What do know is I think twice about back flips or front flips on jumps over 40ft because had one two many smash face off water haha so being older wiser I tend to use caution than thinking...let's fucking do this...and just do it very moment think of it.

Ha I been arrested abseiling down buildings, bridges, dams etc as a kid load's...as an adult...don't do it so much anymore..but I did climb, view and then abseil a 750ft tower...or chimney stack, third tallest in UK,just before they blew it up. That was long time ago now.

Yep stick with it mate. Body says no after many years lol

I’ll be happy to maintain my 10lbs ish loss I managed last year, done well so far and I think I’ve got it covered.

IMO maintaining is harder than losing weight as any number of methods will help you lose weight but it’s hard to find something that you can happily carry on long term. For me that is Keto (or at least pretty low carb) which I now find fairly easy to continue with after a year’s practice!

I’ve never subscribed to new year new me in the past but since Jan 1st my life has completely changed.

It made me realise that I have to change too. So far I’ve made a concentrated effort to cut down on drinking booze and eating carbs. I’ve lost 5lbs this week. I put that down to the Fitbit challenges though. The motivation and competition really help.

So is what about 25,000 to 32,000 swingers on here most days at any one time.

If you look at forum in general must be roughly few thousand posters and rest odd time or not at all.

It's just that this post about fitness and goals this year. Yet given most of us have commented few times.

Isn't actually that many that care about body or fitness on fab..all of 50 of us say?

So I wonder....given uk is getting bigger, fat etc.

Do you lot on here think the bulk of fab look after their bodies? Or not

That's a subject that needs it's own thread, it shouldn't derail this one which is a positive and encouraging one.

I loved London last year. Tried again for this year through the ballot but glad I didn't get in as my plantar fasciitis would t go away and I havent run in ages. Need to get in the bike and in the pool more but they seem so much more hassle than running lol

"Share your aims, goals for getting fitter or losing weight.

How’s everyone else faring? "

1. I'd love to start going the gym but, wouldn't know where to begin. Might text my mate and start going to combat sambo again.

2. Booze might have to be cut down drastically, if number one happens.

A sprint triathlon.

Lost 10lb since Christmas. Walked 105 miles last week and swam twice.

I lost nearly 4 stone in the latter half of last year - my goal for this year is to shift another 2 stone and get fitter! I have started exercising for the first time in years and enjoying swimming again too. I would like to tone up overall.

That's the one i'm doing. I'm really looking forward to it but same time very apprehensive...

Amazingly I had plantar fascitis for 18 months and thought it would never go. Got given a physio plan about another problem I had (trochlea dysplasia) and as if by magic it's gone!

P.M if you'd like the excersises, worth a try hey!

Oh, and in regards to bike and pool... I don't know about you but I don't feel like I've worked out when I have a big swim or bike exercise.. must be the fact my joints don't hurt after the latter

I've nearly completed dry January which friends bet me quite a lot of money I wouldn't

To be fair it was dam tough and I had my doubts but the last real test was this week just gone so It should be easy.

And strangely I think I won't drink as much without having to try now

I think I've lost @ 1 stone and have easily saved @ £200

Not sure if anyone can help me. Im sure there will be plenty who are more knowledgeble than myself where fitness is concerned.

Ive been looking at a beginners 30 day easy squat challenge, but came across something that said the suggesting reps are no good for toning as once you start hitting around 30squats and feeling the burn it'll eat away at the muscle. Therefore aim for about 3 sets of 15.

Anyone shed any light or information on this for me as to whats going to be best?

I'm moving up from sprint distance Triathlons up to Olympic distance this coming season, will still be doing a few sprints in a family competition so my main aim is to be my two brothers... lol

I'm also doing the Saturday morning parkruns and have a goal to get to as close to 20mins for the 5km run as possible

Weight stayed the same this week. Going to cut bread out altogether now.

Been walking more and have downloaded the Active 10 app from Public Health England which I like even though it tells me I haven’t done enough brisk walking.

Not good blood test results for blood sugars so have added impetus to lose more weight and up my exercise.

Hope everyone else has had a good week. x

I wanted to at least match my pb's for squat, deadlift and bench from last year but I've picked up more minor niggles and with a change of job my training has had to become less of a priority.

I'll probably have to wait until next year before I compete again.

I have my first Strongwoman comp this Sunday.

The following Sunday is my first novice Powerlifting comp.

In July I’m entering the British qualifiers in Powerlifting too.

Love being strong & the changes to my body that lifting heavy brings! Muscles & curves!

After my weight creeping up again I've lost 13lbs since the beginning of April just calorie counting. I've bought a bike a couple of weeks ago and cycling to work about 3 times a week and trying to do a few miles (8, I'm a beginner!) on a weekend.

Didn't lose any this past week though

I've been going out running. I've definitely lost weight but don't know how much. My clothes definitely feel better on me tho. Determined to feel comfortable in a bikini. Going to do a 10k in September also. Just want to get back to myself again. Not there yet but I'm trying

Love this wee thread x

I changed my diet as I had stomach issues for years and the weight has fallen off the last 6 months. I also started Pilates last year and that's amazing plus I love to walk any chance I get

I already had small boobs and now they're smaller again, that's my one complaint as I actually always wanted bigger ones. Overall I feel good though
