I work with knives all the time, very sharp ones too...
I've never been tempted to stab anyone in the workplace.. I'm more a blunt instrument kinda gal. |

"Problem is it's often the poor innocent bastard walking home who happens to be wearing a nice watch or using a mobile phone who gets run through by the knife carrying scrote"
That's actually quite rare. Usually gang related. |

Well, we can't carry guns.... so, logically, knives are the way to vent frustrations, apparently.
Well, among teens mainly, it seems to me.
Maybe a new metal that explodes when it hits the DNA of anyone under 18yo. |

After writing off a very expensive roll of carpet in work one day, I tend not to play with knives that much now. I know it was only carpet, but I can only imagine the damage it could cause to a person.
I have very harsh ideas what to do to those, who use knives on people. |

It seems to me there's very little respect for human life these days & it's all too easy for the mindless thugs to take a knife & shank someone, be it gang crime or the mugging of an innocent. Tougher prison sentences for those caught in the act. Natures course is to die peacefully of old age, not stabbed in the back by some chicken shit yob

My friend's son was stabbed and killed about 10 years ago. I remember the police and government saying they were cracking down on knife crimes.
Last week I read in our local paper that knife crimes had gone up 173% in the last 3 years.
It didn't work, whatever they did. |

Alot of the teens round my way carry because it's somehow become the thing to do, it very strange because some of the ones that I know would run rather than stand and fight, let alone stab someone. Its stupid cycle that will only get worse unfortunately. |

Some carry knives because they think they have to to protect themselves. A nephew of mine got a stab proof vest for Christmas. |

In Barking, it was a sensible present. Let me guess, it's cockneys called Gary and Dave that are the danger, right?

What the fucking smeg do kids have to protect themselves from in normal life!! It sure as hell shouldn't be other little cunts running round with knives, thats for sure.
Fucking kids. Ruining my blood pressure. And I don't even have any, FFS. (kids, that is. I hope I do have at least some blood pressure left to elevate.) |

I saw a guy get stabbed in the head when I was living in London. Went straight through the top of his head. Amazingly he survived.
People can die in lots of different ways. Weapons don't kill people people kill people. I think guns should be banned for the public in any country though around the World.
The questions that need answering is why do people get stabbed? |

The point he's making is that he has a nice watch and mobile phone and wants everyone to know |

He had a gang of not very nice boys after him. So, his mum bought him a stab-proof vest. |

It a shame it gets to that point, but well done to his mum, because like someone has said before some of these teens resort to carrying themselves as a way of trying to feel safe. |

??...because a relatively small percentage if people carry them for a variety of reasons:
They need to for work
They think they're well hard when they carry one
They're generally horrible little scrotes
For self defence despite the fact they have no idea how to defend themself.
Or to commit crime and intimidate.
Or it's a readily accessible weapon for anyone found almost anywhere.
The chances of randomly getting stabbed are way lower than the sensationalist headlines would suggest or as bad as the "man I grew up in a tough place" brigade would have you believe. |

Bring back hanging that put a stop to this.
Thing is are more buns on streets than knives. Is same with rug dealers. It used to be the mach'ete now it's buns they hold.
I don't believe these manipulated figures though. It partly to increase funding. Look at national figure for knife crime is well down |

So the suggestion of the op is that we let young people kill each other, all that will do is leave all the kids who are good at stabbing people, can we put you down for having those people move in near you |

Surely there would be one man standing in that scenario.... surely??
If so.. then we can lambast the remainer, and that will be that. |

Geographically no, even if it was last man standing in the major areas of Birmingham, that still leaves a lot of stabbers not to mention it condones kids killing kids, it's easy to point at inner city kids and say they are bad kids, but fear can make anyone make bad decisions |

Hmm. Is knife crime on the rise or do we just get to hear and see about it more because of social media?
Knife crime has always been an issue. Since the 50s and before. Chelsea smiles etc back in the day and it was a crime predominantly carried out by white people (honour amongst gangsters and all that jazz ) as opposed to today when of course it BME communities who are to blame and of course are no longer hero's or anti hero's.

Exactly, so we don't need to do anything. Natural selection will sort it out. |
