It has to be that slightly sweet, with vanilla pod infused custard too. Non of that gelatinous, slime like substitute.

I have recently discovered custard covered fruit slices that are impossible to say no to. They have put doughnuts into second place. I love custard but not a lot of places serve it which is my saving grace

Oooh I've been hankering for one for months - not spotted one anywhere so far though! They remind me of a holiday in Spain where we used to have them for breakfast on the way home from the clubs at 4am every morning, all warm and freshly cooked straight from the side door of the bakery....ooooh yum!!

I'd choose custard doughnuts over jam ones any day - however put an apple filled one next to a custard one and I'll have a dilemma...

I'm guilty of eating it straight from the tin, but frustrating as you can't get it all out because of the grooves. It wouldn't be right to try and lick the tin out would it

I'm off to collect Mrs N from work. The chances of me stopping at the shops for a bag (or 2) of those little sugary balls of joy is quite high.

One of my American friend is, somewhat, strange about food (he's from Texas).

Breakfast: Krispy Kreme doughnuts (choice from a box of 12), in the UK Pop Tarts.

Other meals: Meat and potatoes, other vegetables were, invariably, eugh.

No tea or coffee, just Dr Pepper.

He used to own a cattle ranch.

That was until he discovered that he was sitting on top of a gas deposit.

Four US$5 million wellheads installed by a gas company and he sits back and banks US$1 million per month.

He collects and restores antique fire engines and flies about in a Vietnam war era Hughes OH-6 Cayuse.
