Motorists who don’t properly defrost or demist their windscreen. I was behind a driver on way back from gym and she can’t have been able to see out of her windscreen properly.

Drivers who get so close to you to try to force you to speed .. they may as well be in your boot .. I slow down even more until they back off I stick to speed limits now due to points on licience for speeding made me more aware and no body will force me to risk another fine or points ! |

Driving every day it’s the day dreamers on the motorway. One minute they think they are Michael Schumacher driving like a mad thing the next they slow right down in the wrong lane and just act like a snail only to speed up again and take off like a bat out of hell agghhh |

There is so much!!!
People who don't dip their lights in the dark. Fog lights when it's not foggy. Old people! Middle lane drivers. The 40 mile per hour brigade. The list is endless....
The worst people are those who use their phones whilst driving!!!!!
Having driven my daughters car recently which has a black box fitted it makes you so aware of your speed! There are a lot more people out there who should be forced to have one, not just young drivers. |

Same here clean licence now but intend to keep it that way stick to speed limits in all zones, with the exception that will speed up to about 80 on the motorway sometimes, then you get people flashing you to pull over!
Oh wait sorry but I’m overtaking in the overtaking lane at the speed limit. Have some patience. It’s more annoying when they stay in the outside lane whilst you’ve moved back over to the first lane. |

My biggest annoyance is people who do not overtake slow moving vehicles when perfectly safe to do so and you end up in a queue of traffic doing 20mph in a 60 because of some bumbling fool. |

Plenty but I'll stick with people using mobiles at the wheel, people turning their head to talk to their passenger and poor lane discipline at roundabouts.
I would also like to see drivers over 70 tested yearly both practically and theoretically and all drivers tested bi annually on theory. |

When people change lanes at the last minute. I do a lot of driving down the a38 I see a lorry up ahead so pull out in plenty of time but you can guarantee some bell end will pull out right at the last minute in front of me and then proceed to drive at 50 mile an hour while they attempt to overtake.
And the amount of people that sit in the right hand lane at 60 mile an hour, frustrates the hell out of me and I have been guilty of undertaking  |

Being a lorry driver and people not knowing how to join a motorway.
They think me in my 44 ton 70ft Xl trailer truck doing 56mph should give way to them.
I would kill you if i hit you doing that speed.
And then once they are on the motorway they put there foot down.
Why why why could you not do that on the slip rd and save me braking and slowing down.

When I was younger, everything pissed me off. Every minor annoyance was magnified a thousand times to the point I was a raging demon by the time I either got to my destination, or home.
Nowadays, I smile at other drivers inept bimblings, I laugh at moronic manoeuvrings, and I simply go about my journey letting all that slide over my head. I take avoiding action when necessary, and pre-empt a large proportion of stupidity.
Driving is so much more relaxing this way.

I think you will find, if you'd done any motorway lessons, that you are in fact supposed to wait until you are approx two car lengths away from a slower moving vehicle before you pull out to over take. |

various gripes for me with this subject. but the 2 major ones are; middle lane drivers. these twats can drive for miles on end in the one lane regardless of how empty the inside line is, oblivious to all others around them.
bad parkers. knobends too lazy & selfish to take an extra minute just to straighten up. they'd rather have the arse end of their shit heap car taking up the corner of the space next door... or worst still, parking on or over the bay line preventing anyone parking next to them. is it really that difficult!? cocks!!!  |

Mainly cyclist not knowing roads rules and thinking they can do as they please. Add that to drivers thinking people should move out of the way so they can drive above the speed limit and entering the roundabout in completely the wrong lane. |

Middle lane drivers are the ones who can see a vehicle moving slowly along the inside lane about a mile away, so sit in the middle lane because in 10 mins they will eventually over take it. They are also the ones who complain about people pulling out at the last minute
Lost's of people park like that to actually prevent people parking next to them so that their car doesn't get damaged by some knob head who just swing their car door open and smash their paint work!! |

I can see this point too. But it doesn't make it right. Even if bays were twice the size we'd still get dickheads swing on in & leave it parked on the piss. Doesn't take too much effort to reverse out & straighten up. Middle of the bay a bonus if achievable... |

A friend of mine recounted about an irate car driver he encountered recently
He'd pulled into the side of a road only for a driver in the car behind to start blasting on the horn before driving round and pulling up level with my friend's drivers window.
That car driver then launched into a tirade of verbal abuse, some of it almost face to face through my friend's driving window. My friend let the driver rant till he'd finished then replied,
"Look at the vehicle I am driving. It has 20 seats behind me and 30 or so upstairs plus standing room for others. On the road underneath are markings for the Bus Stop I have stopped at to let passengers off.
This is a bus! That is why I indicated left to show I was pulling into the kerb.
If you can't recognise this as a Double Decker Bus, it is YOU who need your eyes tested, not me! Who is the F*****g Idiot now?"
Exit one car driver to a round of applause from all those on board the bus!

people that stopor hesitate at roundabouts when theres clearly nothing coming
if your not confident enough to drive correctly take an advanced driving course with
IAM or ROSPA.
likewise road with national speed limit signs up (if you even know what the national speed limit is ), lets say 50 on a single carriageway , so your following a slow moving vehicle doing 20 ,its clearly safe to overtake but you just sit there with no intentions and are oblivious to the 2 mile queue of traffic your causing by not overtaking ...its not illegal to overtake !!
people that park or stop on zig zag lines (3 points)
people that still think that sending a text ,using facebook , or using your phone as a sat nav is legal and ok , your phone is an electronic hand held device , to be used or touched you have to be parked up , with engine off to be legal , its not legal driving through mcdonalds drive through either (6 points , £200 fine )
people that try and enter a motorway or dual carriageway at 40 or 50 when the speed limit is 70.
enter the carriageway at the speed the vehicles are travelling.
could go on and on but i wont .... |

people that dont understand "merge in turn" this means you can reach the roadworks where it goes from 3 lanes to 2 for example ,indicate and merge ,
likewise when coming down the slip road to join a slow moving motorway , use the full length of the slip road ..
one more before bed , please , your fog lights are Only for when its foggy , not when its cloudy dark and raining!
lets google when am i allowed to honk my horn and when am i allowed to use my hazard lights ...surprising how many havent a clue . |

Anecdotally, I have only ever been undertaken by a tailgate, immediately after overtaking someone else, before it's been safe or reasonable to get back left. Once by an impressive sports car and once by an RS6. Both times I'd say they missed both of us by no more than a metre or so when squeezing through the gap. |

Lorry,bus and coach drivers who think they need two lanes to go over a roundabout so veer out as you approach the roundabout alongside them. I have plenty of dash cam footage saved as i am compiling evidence to give to the companies local MP and police |

People who can’t keep a constant speed!
Generally when on the motorway I’ll stick cruise control on.
You always get a few drivers who sit up behind you, eventually use the empty lane to go round you then slow down again and you end up going round them 2 miles later. Then they speed up and go past you again and it continues on and on.
Now I’m using cruise control so I know it’s not me who isn’t keeping a constant speed! |

People who think it's permissible to park two wheels on the pavement. It's a footpath, a path for feet, not tyres. You've now parked your vehicle somewhere, which is an obstacle to both other vehicles, and pedestrians. I just hope someone with a pram, buggy, or wheelchair does not now have to go out in to the road, to go around your vehicle. Btw, sorry about the scratch down your bodywork, it was a bit tight for me as I walked past your car |

I overtook a woman on the A14 that was driving at 35mph because she was eating a bowl of cereal. That was a WTF!! moment.
Tractors that drive on the roads in rush hour. WTF!! You’re a tractor, fuck off into a field.
Lorry drivers that take 4 miles to overtake another lorry that’s driving 0.005 mph slower than them. WTF!! Adjust your cruise control and drive 0.005 mph slower.
Lorry drivers that are being overtaken by lorries that are going 0.005 mph faster than you. WTF!! Ease off and let the twat pass FFS.

Drivers that always drive at 40mph regardless of what the actual speed limit happens to be. I use a road which has intermittent 30, 50 and 60 zones and it happens a lot that I get stuck behind someone in a 60, building up a big queue behind us, and then have to watch them speed in a 30 zone past schools. . C'mon wtf!
Drivers that stop at roundabout junctions when it's obviously clear for them to enter.
People without lane discipline on roundabouts, who cut up people turning right when they are going straight on.
People that don't acknowledge that you have given way to them when it was actually your right of way, just giving the face when they drive past.

No they are not. No matter what other road users are doing/not doing, it is illegal to actually be in an ‘OVERTAKING’ lane when not OVERTAKING. Get in the right lane and we will see motorway traffic improve massively. |

People who take fucking ages to set off from traffic lights so only two or three cars get through before it goes back to red, instead of the ten who were waiting behind.
People on motorways who hover around just behind you in the next lane so you can't change lanes yourself.
People on dual carriageways who are in the outer faster lane but slow right down if there's a wagon or bus in the other lane instead of just passing it.
People who when driving at night slam all on every time they see headlights coming from the other direction.
And my main one, people on motorways/dual carriageways who think that the two second gap I've left between me and the car in front for braking distance is for them to cut into causing me to slam all on! |

I haven't read the thread, so if this is a repeat of someone else's post, apologies.
There are so many things that vex me on the roads but one that i was reminded of the other day was this....the driver in front of me driving at 35mph in a 60. This is usually enough to have me reaching for FM5, which is Classic FM on my radio. This usually chills me out but this day and this driver decided to up their game on me!! One that made me wish I had a grenade launcher built into the front of my motor...not only was this driver going 35 in a 60, they also broke every time a car passed coming in the opposite direction!! I mean, what in the name of good f*ck!!
I have loads more but i'm pretty chilled out this morning and the thought of anymore driver stories would just ruin it for me! |

"Drivers who get so close to you to try to force you to speed .. they may as well be in your boot .. I slow down even more until they back off I stick to speed limits now due to points on licience for speeding made me more aware and no body will force me to risk another fine or points !"

Middle lane hoggers. (Because there's a junction 3 miles ahead and I'll have to move over again so might as well stay in middle lane) Your just annoying pricks.
And using mobiles while driving

People who get road rage when they get annoyed because someone is delaying their life by 5 seconds because you are living yours
My main pet hate though is people who fill their windscreen with gadgets blocking their eyeline. If your phone/tablet/sat-nav/rear view camera/dash-cam can mask a child child crossing the road or a cyclist then it should be put somewhere else.
Oh and people with no common sense should be banned from leaving the house at all ever |

Nothing. I’ve reached the point whereby people don’t actually piss me off on the roads. Granted that I’m usually driving a car that weighs over 2ton and can hit 60 in just over 4 seconds,
If someone races right up behind me then I’ll move over when I can, not because they’re intimidating me. If I have to brake they’re likely to come off worse than me. if I need to get out of something’s way it’s powerful enough to.
