Not talking about back in the days of Castlemorton and those early days...rights to party..all wicked!!

I've been raving since those early days. I had a sound system and used to put on free parties up until 2000. I've been to some since but not since the naughties. These days I prefer to make the yearly pilgrimage to Mecca (Ibiza) and party there |

You been all the wrong raves...times have changed 
Get anything you want now.. more than ever...and is new wave of money into these things...not like it used to be with hippy roots and free party people.. mostly vegans and vegetarians and ban the car eco warriors...let's not forget what the people stood for back then...the suppression of the peopls right to party haha
I've been a few upmarket raves last few years...lot of conversations I heard of when I was in India... however lot of which sounded like...they upper middle class... mummy & daddies credit card holidays ha yep plenty g&t there along with fine bubbles and quality food. Was different partying with bunch of rich kids...one thing though...when the law shows up.. which they did...in force must say...some guys involved with running of event...spoke to some chief commissioner on phone with law there at time..seeed few other calls made... rumours flying round all being arrested.
Still to this day Im lost. I witnessed two the guys who ran event shake hands with several cops...and the 30 or so cops left..the music went back on easy as loud if not louder... people went back to raving. I walked back to car park to get something from car..all cops gone apart from one car. The officer said can you make sure everyone picks up their litter when you leave. Enjoy rest of your night...mate and I like err wtf. Still guess to this day the guys must be son of someone important or powerful and for that about 200 folk got to party in a place you can't and do what we wanted and no one actually got into any trouble...yet they had driven land rovers over land and cut gates open with bolt cutters....guess times have changed |

1998 such a fine year in the free party scene.
Started out..1992 for me.. thru to..about 2002 then Goa 2006...got back into few years ago.
Actually went a club couple years ago...think was oldest there haha most the mixes all had tunes I've heard before..had a wicked night but can't dance solid for 12 plus hours a note no more haha |

Wicked bro. Sound system eh. Nice. Same here at one point in life..sadly was taken from me by some scum bags dressed as cops with fake paperwork haha
Ibiza has and always has been bar the very early days....bit commercial but I don't doubt you don't have a wild time....I prefer places like Paris...the techno festivals or Spain.
I thought real ravers never die seems you still clubbing it up Ibiza...what scenes over there interest you.. music wise |

Yeah I've seen them surround a system with horses and take it before - that's why I stopped! Before that they used to turn up, ask when we're leaving and after telling them we'd finish by 8-9am and clear all our rubbish, they'd leave us to it. Now you get riot vans, horses and helicopters lol - just because people want to dance under the stars!
I've actually DJ'd all my adult life (hence doing free parties) and tech house/techno is what I play these days and what I seek in Ibiza. |
