So I live near an asda and just wondering if it's true that single people go on certain night's hoping to meet other singles. Is this true and if so what night's are they ?

I seriously doubt that is true, for either dating or sexy meets.

I go on random nights in the hope of finding all the items I want, that the self scanner doesn’t mess with me and that the car park is a painless experience.

I think a long time ago, a 'tip' for men meeting singles, was to go supermarket shopping, glance at women's wedding fingers. If they appeared single, approach them and ask for advice on cooking or something to generate chatting in a neutral environment instead of the pub

Not a bad idea though...

Just have an item of clothing you must wear to stand out. Like a green hat?

I’ve heard of it too.

Probably a better way of meeting someone than on a website.

Maybe but I tend to go when I need to but food rather than to eye up everyone in the aisles. I like looking at what is in other people’s baskets and trollies though. You learn a lot from what’s on that conveyor belt.

I didn’t mean you were I meant the idea of men checking if ladies were wearing a wedding ring before chatting to them seems a bit 1950’s.

I remember it was something like if you put a large galaxy bar in your trolley front it meant you were available it was for the late night singleton shoppers

There is a dating app called Happn. It links you to people you pass by. Not great up north but busy in London. I actually went on a date with someone who it turned out was working in the same building as me. It matched us as we were close.

So my penchant for galaxy family sized bars was the reason I kept getting approached by all those ladies in Tesco!...
