I have seen the movie before, but I havent read it until now. I finished it today, have you? I read the swedish version by roald dahl where kalle wins the tour and his family could move into the factory. I like the story, who is your favourite character? Mine is kalle |

"The later Johnny Depp version is worth a watch too - a little darker and not a musical but done well "
The book is actually quite dark too & this one is much nearer to it.
Apparently, Roald Dahl didn’t like the first film, but his estate approved of the Johnny Depp one.
He’s still my favourite author, but Fantastic Mr Fox is my favourite book
Best character in Charlie though is Willy Wonka himself |

Apparently that's why they didn't carry on and make The Great Glass Elevator. Dahl not liking the first one I mean.
The Witches was a great movie but even then they couldn't leave Dahl's story as it was and had to go for a Hollywood happy ending, like they do. |
