So due to another thread I have been participating in and found there are a few closeted wrestling fans hiding I thought I'd set up this thread for those of us who would like to do predictions for the wwe ppvs (I'm not including the next ppvs) .
Below is the dates of the ppvs and by what date to have your predictions posted by :-
Jan 28th - Royal Rumble (predictions in by 27/1)
Feb 25th - elimination chamber (pib 24/2)
Mar 11th - fast Lane (pib 10/3)
Apr 8th - wrestlemania 34 (pib 7/4)
May
6th - backlash (pib 5/5)
27th - payback (pib 26/5)
Jun 17 - money in the bank (pib 16/6)
Jul 15 - battleground (pib -14/7)
Aug 19 - summerslam (pib 18/8)
Sept
16th - ex rules (pib 15/9)
30th - hell in a cell (pib 29/9)
Oct 21st - tlc (pib 20/10)
Nov 18th - survivor series (pib 17/11)
Dec 16th - clash of champions (pib 15/12)

nooo..... when i was a kid, i use to love watch "wrassling" on a saturday morning... and was always drawn more to actual wrestlers then the comic book wwf/e...
so i was a NWA guy... until i became an ECW guy..... and even now i like watching ROH and new japan (bullet club!!!!)
p.s... if you haven't seen kenny omega vs chris jericho from new japan's "wrestlekingdom 12" from a few weeks ago... look it up on youtube...
also you have to look for some styles vs nakamura NJPW matches.... and Owens vs Nakamura from ROH.....
the wwe dont quote know how to use nakamura and the man is a superstar... |

I can see Roman winning the rumble since he lost the IC to miz.
Makes way for him to climb the ladder again.
Personally I’d like to see Kane go on another title reign, part timers like lesner bore me rigid. Let Kane have the run he deserves then have him lose to braun and then retire.
Can’t wait to see what happen with woken Matt, especially when brother Nero will return  |

nah... bet they go with bryan vs shane if they allow him to compete at WM...
also you could also do a owen/zeyn vs usos for the tag team belts....
if roman wins the rumble in philadelphia they will boo him out of the building and it will not be a good last closing out scene!!
thats why i think the winner comes from smackdown.... nakamura to get to a nakamura vs styles match at WM could be a way to go...
they can get to roman vs brock at WM but having roman win the elimination chamber as a no.1 contenders match.....
oooh... i am writing their tv for them....

I think when it comes to the rumble the surprise run ins are more fun!also i think if wwe where smart they would do a rey mysterio moment and have Finn balor win the rumble! |

We’re off to wwe live in May.
So glad we finally got the broken universe before we go, hoping Jeff is back. (Rumoured April) so we get the full experience.
A bit off topic but stone cold returning was the greatest 8 minutes of wrestling in the past year!
There’s nobody on the current roster who could dream of getting the reaction he does.

I still think any grown man who gets pleasure out of watching idiots jump about in silly costumes..all serious and then its all fake and most these big boys..haha its more like the local straight in that village ha.

Everyone is fully aware it’s scripted, it’s just entertainment.
The days of kayfabe are long dead, where as the 80s to late 90s were all about keeping up the act, even in public. To try maintain the illusion it wasn’t fake.
Personally I see it a bit like the theatre, good entertainment even though it’s a bit over the top and fake.

Hardy going off something high? Isn't that every match he's in? Normally off a ladder or the scaffolding near the entrance ramp..... His swanton off the scaffolding onto Orton years ago still gets shown now.
As far as predictions for the rumble.... Aslong as it's not Cena or reins that win..... Reins dropping the IC belt to mizz again means he's in line for the universal title again, same as AJ dropping the European belt and about 2 weeks later winning the world title with no buildup. I'm hoping Brock retains at rumble just so strowman can enter the rumble match and throw everyone around like the cartoon hulk character he is. |

Royal rumble 2018 predictions....
Men’s Royal Rumble Match - Nakamura or Reins... God I hope it's not Reins again.... I'd rather have anyone else win it than Rains, but Lesnar Vs Reins has been set as the mania main event for almost a year now. So either Reins is winning the rumble (to a chorus of booo's yet again, or elimination chamber is for the number one contendership). Nakamura is the safe bet to win, going on to face styles... But I'd prefer Russef!
Women’s Royal Rumble Match - Asuka or Rousey are favourite to win but I'm hoping on a surprise, someone like Nicky Cross called up from NXT and taking the win.
Brock Lesnar vs. Braun Strowman vs. Kane - Brock retaining the belt so that it will set up Brock Vs Reins for mania.
AJ Styles vs. Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn - AJ retaining the belt. Owens has an injury hence his 2min loss on smackdown so will be spending most of the time on the apron. Zayn and AJ should have another good match but AJ should retain.
Rollins & Jordan vs. The Bar - I'm hoping for the Bar to take this one, only title change of the night. Should kick off Jordan Vs Rollins leading into wrestlemania.
The Usos vs. Benjamin & Gable - guessing it's the Usos retaining, unless they are being punished for the recent DWI. |
