Ok...breathe in and out slowly for a minute or two.
Has something else in your life changed?
Are you getting enough sleep?
Maybe take time to talk to your boss, a counsellor, gp or a friend?
Perhaps see what is the root cause of this?

Why dont you start applying for other jobs in the same sector whilst you're still with this one? I had about 14 jobs in one year when I was doing bar management in my early 20's. Just left each time they pissed me off, having another place already lined up. |

Firstly go and make yourself a hot drink (not coffee!) and try and relax a little.
I am the worlds worsf at work, I truly am I costantly think I’m doing everything wrong, talking to my boss helps hugely though and really does help, I know some bosses are approachable though.
Are nights working for you? Maybe you might need to go back to days? Talking really does help, if you don’t it will only make matters worse as nothing will be resolved.
Has anyone said about you losing your job or are you just worrying?

Nothing has really changed just the same sort of stuff but I have always been a worrier
I think I am getting enough sleep but atm maybe not due to me worrying
I would not trust meny at my work the odd 1 or 2 but my manager iam ok with
I think I will go to my gp and see what they say but I might just get the "dont worry" sort of shit I have been talking with my gf about it all but its still in the back of my head |

I really enjoy working nights I get left alone to do my own thing so it works for me like that
I can talk to some of my bosses but not all sadly I just feel like if I was better or faster I would not even have to worry like this and no no one has said anything about losing jobs but know iam been watched is all |

I’m watched (like everyone) where I work and sometimes I feel like I don’t do enough but asking for feedback helps, I’ve done it after I know they have done an assessment on me and I’m actually pleasantly surprised.

Find a job you'd be happy to do. You should always enjoy where you work and be excited to be going to work. Life is too short to be unhappy where you work. You spend a lot of time in work so that means you spend a lot of time being unhappy. I'm a self employed driver. Every day is different, that's ideal for me. What's your perfect job? |

There's lots of places that give business loans. Look online. Just need to get a business plan sorted. Some of the government business loans have advizors who will help with that |

Two important points. If you have been in a job for ten years, they can't just sack you all that easily. You have employment rights.
One of those rights as a night worker is,that the employer has to offer you health checks. You may be well advised to insist on some health checks and to discuss with the doctor that you are suffering from stress. It could be the night shifts that are contributing to that stress.
Maybe take some time off sick,or even a holiday.Again,if you have been in the job for ten years the employer can't use that against you.
It may be worth speaking to someone in a union, even if you are not a member they sometimes offer advice. |

I know they cant just sack me but they have ways of making.you quit if they want you gone eg working every weekend or spilting shifts and such also I have filled out the union slip just need to post it is all I dont think it would go down well if I had time off for stress they would just find a loop.hole not to pay me |

Maybe your location is the problem. Try somewhere else that has more of a demand. Or advertise on social media and do house calls. If that's legal. I'm sure people would feel more comfortable having it done at home. Ask on here if people would rather have a prick in them at home?
Seriously though... Follow your dreams |

I've been doing nights myself for just over 2 years and iam definitely not the same person too. I get about 5 hrs sleep in the week and snooze randomly at weekends and have mega fatigue any other time and get snappy. First thing I'd do is get off the shift and yes talk to a Dr too. I started antidepressants (my partners not prescribed) and feel a little better. This time of year/weather doesn't help too |

I would find someone who can help you evaluate your life, feelings, desires etc.
Then produce a plan.
Planning and working towards goals with realistic targets gets the stress out of the head and helps focus tasks in to bite size chunks.
Shame you arent nearer, I've just done a session with the team on this, although focused on work, some of them brought in life stuff.

See if your company has an employee assistance program, if they do use it. As it can offer counselling, without any cost to you. |

Sit down with your boss/manager/team leader.
Explain things are getting on top of you, any decent manager will work with you rather than look for reason to sack you.
It’s their job to make sure you can do your job.

That was me 4 months ago and I was so paranoid over my manager wanting to sack me etc that I got so ill over it. I’ve been off sick for the last 3 months and go back this Monday. I was paranoid! Don’t always read into things, if you’re stressed this will happen. See your GP |

Stop stressing over deadlines and workload etc and just do what you can to remain stable.
Easier said than done I know, but dont mean its not easy at all.
I was in the same job 10 years, very unhappy.. stressed. Always in trouble.
Finally blew my top and left, walked into a job i fucking adore every second of with a significant pay increase.
Your life, change it |

Reading what you say it seems the cause of your current anxiety is not getting your job done quickly enough and perhaps not the the standard required?
If so, you really should speak to your manager to talk through the issues and what support you might need. Sometimes small changes can have a big impact.
You also say you're a worrier. Talking to your gf is great and any other friends who are happy to support you. You also always chat to your GP, especially if it's affecting your ability to function well and sleep.
Things often appear worse to ourselves and we can end up in a downward spiral of worry. Try to think positively and be proactive. If your manager sees you taking an interest in what you do and wanting to improve you may find you get all the support you need. |
