Hey is anyone going this year? It'll be my first time going. I was hoping to stay over but the hotels are stupidly expensive so will be a train ride there and back. Hoping to get a decent tattoo there. |

Lol...whoops. no sorry it's a tattoo convention in Manchester and they do all sorts, entertainment, tattoos(obviously) and other things!
Google it. Tattoo tea party. |

I've been to a few conventions, Ink & Iron a couple of times, and the Halloween bash at Cheltenham racecourse. Tbh I've never found more than a couple of hours light amusement at them, is this one a particularly outstanding example? |

They have some other entertainment, a few years ago a boxing ring and giant gloves, which had people fighting.
Was some excellent work being done to watch too.
If not getting any ink it will get a little boring after 3-4 hours, but it your looking for work it's easily a full day event. |

A lot of the tattooists who are there will normally have their slots booked in advance so they have designs ready and just get on with it. May be one or two who will do smaller designs there and then |

Been there a few times. The good artists are booked well in advance.
I prefer to book my own tattooist as i think its less pressure on them
But i love the convention |

£64 a night in hotel right next door to the event ...
Tattoos and beards everywhere I look in the hotel lounge bar 
I wondered what the hell I had walked in to when I checked in earlier this evening
